I've not bought it (don't plan to do so either) but I'm kind of disappointed... I'd hoped the kit might get a bunch of Enginseers with it who're all busy trying to anoint the holy warhead with oils and such

Any thoughts on it?

Somebody'll hopefully move it then... I figured it came under modelling.

That's a pretty out-there hope, dude. I mean, that'd be cool and all, but it's about as far off as me hoping Space Marine scout squads came with parts to turn them into Adeptus Arbites. I do think the missile is a little small for a doomsday device though. I've seen people scratchbuild their own using foot-tall models of V2 rockets and such. Compared to that it's a little underwhelming. Manticore is pretty sweet though.

I'm sorry, that kit is being looted when it comes out.

I thought the deathstrike missle had a cartoonish look to it, but I must agree the manticore looks great!

Solution to the problem - buy 6 deathstrike missiles, put two together in a way so that they are even longer than normal, and put the other 4 missiles around the back one like the manticore missiles.

I didn't know this was due for release but here's the link.

That's just weedy, nothing at all in the spirit of the old epic model or even the more recent artwork. It's tiny, boy am I glad I took the plunge and made my own.

I thought of that. The missile is attached by a peg so can be removed, makes it easier to transport and looks better if it is fired during a game.

Yes, the plastic Deathstrike missile is a joke. It needs to be completely rebuilt, along with a full-scratch rebuild of the erector/launcher.
