it'd be hard to avoid painting like a real lizard, they don't exactly have nice straightforward colours, note the humble leopard gecko

The best lizardman army i ever saw was years back. He had a dark green to a light green blend in his saurus and a green to yellow on his skinks, i thought they were well done that way.

I need to find a camera. My saurus are painted like agama lizards.

There are a lot of lizards in the world.

I saw a really great plog with a Poison-dart frog blue/red scheme. I've also seen pale greens and browns pulled of nicely.

I actually saw a hot pink lizard man army once that looked amazing. Not suggesting pink, per say, but I'm pretty sure that lizards can get away with just about any color choice you pick.

I did mine all different colours with the unifying them of a dark brown belly (in most cases...)

Ive painted mine with yellow as the body colour, and brown as the hardened scaley bits.

Mine are a mix of Ice Blue and hawk Turquise that is blended to black on the hands.

Ive always thought that dark browns with red highlights would make for a good lizardmen paint scheme. With the obligatory golds/brass for standards/trinkets/metal parts.

I saw a nice yellow and brown lizardmen army a while back at the FLGS. They looked really good.
