I was just wondering about the titles that every dakka user has under their name. Mine went in a standard progression of "Fresh Faced New User" until 50 posts, then "Been Around The Block", then at 100 posts, I became a "Regular Dakkaite". But I have noticed some people who have (I think) customized titles who do not have the designation of being a DCM underneath their title. How do these users get their custom titles? Some of them don't even have enough posts to become a "Been Around the Block", so it can't be the number of posts... Does anybody know?

If you edit your Dakka profile, you have the option to choose a ranking track. These are based on all manner of armies and races, and tailor the titles appropriately.

I picked speed freaks, hence my title(s).

I just find it amusing that at one time I was a Powerful Pylon, but now I'm merely an Immortal, albeit an Ancient one.

Become a DCM and you can make it anything you want.

I'm currently on the highest rank for all tracks but switched out so people wouldn't know what they are.

Now we have several posters racing to 20,000 posts lego and yakface are looking to add a couple more to take us well beyond 50,000 posts.

All I can say to that is "wow".

I think if a person has 50,000 posts here they should be banned out of concern for their health, regardless of who they are or who they think they are. I am not even remotely joking.

Yeah, I have 11K+ posts. But then again it took me over a decade to accrue that amount.

And this just shows what you know about the site. Most of those people you see who have a join date of late oct / early nov 2005 came from an earlier forum ware of dakka.

Psssh, on the DE track I was "promoted" from a Wych Succubus w. Agoniser to a freakin' Scourge. Totally disappointing. Here's hoping the next one isn't turning me into a Hellion or something.

I started work on a DE track once - but was having too much fun being silly (stuff like; Rushed Scourge Trying to Fire Lance) so that I didn't feel it did the race justice.
