Ooookkkaaay... Now I know a lot of warhammer players are either old metalheads or angry gothy kids who hate their high school principal, so I figured I would ask those that know, does anybody believe this wasn't entirely made up for publicity for her 'minor local band' friends, or is gak for real?

Looking at the headline I figured it was a hoax, then I read it was in Russia, and figure it's almost certainly true.

Unless anyone else can find it, the story seems to have been missed even by the tabloids.

At least they'll be alive when they get out. Hopefully after their anuses and colons have been expanded 10x's over for them.
No matter how bad prison is you know you are one day a free man. Knowing that after the trial you will get a needle in the arm in a few years has to be way worst than knowing you'll see sunshine someday.
But I suppose having to go back to Russia would be bad in and of itself

Depends on how much the family and friends are outraged and want revenge. They could quite possibly be killed in 19 years, not to mention the general reactionn their new friends will have. Their new friends could quite possibly kill them before the victims friends and family try to when they get out.
So yeh, they're pretty screwed either way.

Knowing this is still a joke. I would like to point out that this is mostly an American phenomenon with the prison systems. It does happen in other countries, but not as frequently as it does here. Dunno why......
Either way. Lets hope they get Prion Disease! *crosses fingers*

One thing that I do not remember when visiting Russia were goth kids. You see, in that country you either look like everyone else or get harassed about it. By everyone. Including police. The state hands out pamphlettes on how to detect if your children are listening to punk and if you as a tourist look radically different, you will probably be refused entrance to the restaurant. Of course, that would be good grounds for sociopathic behaviour, but why is it that they give out names and pictures?
Anyway...
