I made thist thing out of leftover parts from Tyranid Warriors, Raveners, and the Trygon kit. The only thing I had to buy specifically was a set of dragon wings and the Procreate I used in the tail.

Here for your parusal, let the comments fly:

What did you use for the carapace on the back? it looks good.

Been out of the game for awhile, trying to find time to get back into it.

I know you're speaking in relation to this individual model, but I still found it hysterically ironic considering how tiny they are when compared to the FW Trygon claws(which look infinitely better in proportion to the size of the Trygon) or other Monstrous Creature Talons.

That is really quite brilliant! The only thing that indicates that it might not be an official kit is the smoothness of the tail (it could use a few scales here or there), and that would only be noticible if you were looking for it. Great job!

It appears to be a sculpting medium called Apoxie Sculpt. You can get it from Aves studios. I love to work with it and it smooths very nicely. Plus, its a lot more cheap then GS.

Finally! Wings that can actually support the creature in flight!

Really good job. I was on the fence but that paint job just took it leaps and bounds over what i was expecting.
