As far as standard bearers and musicians are concerned since they still technically have the other equipment do you have to show the standard and musician?

Your question isn't very clear but i'll try and answer it, if your refering to having to show the standard or the instrument for the standard bearer and musician, then yes a standard or instrument must be modelled on them.

I believe he means that, with Standard Bearers and Musos in WYSIWYG, I believe he wants to know, do you still have to model the standard equipment on them.
I think for WYSIWYG yes, but I don't know anyone, even myself that does so.

Except in friendly games where it is made clear (we stick a piece of paper with 'muso' or st bear' on the models), you should always do your upmost to represent them adequately.

I always use a standard and musician model, but I rarely bother with giving them the correct armament- I figure if the rest of the unit is armed with 2xCC weapons or GWs or whatever, then my opponent will cop on to the fact that the standard and musician have them too. Never had any problem with it.

You do not need to model either the Standard Bearer or Musician with the same weapon as the rest of the unit.

In fact, the rule-book quite clearly allows some variation in WYSIWYG as long as the overall appearance of the unit is not misleading. Furthermore, the rules for Standard bearers and Musicians (80-81 BRB) state that neither has to be equipped as the rest of the unit, and will fight like them, even if he is carrying a sword instead of a lance, etc.

The rulebook specifically states that the whole unit is armed with what the majority of the models in the unit has.

Most of the time as long as its not an outrageous proxy and you explain what it is and it matches your army list i dont have an issue with it.
