Hi all. I'v just finished painting Astorath and had a dilemma with painting the parchement. I was going to do it bleached bone with a brown wash but I suddenly ran out of bone and I can't get hold of anymore for a week. I really needed that model painted. When I was pacing around and scratching my head I came up with a really good way of painting the parchement.

Here's what I did:

1) Undercoated it black

2) Added one layer of scorched brown

3) Added a layer of snakebite leather

4) Added a 1:1 mix of skull white and tanned flesh, keeping just a little more paint on my brush than dry brushing.

This turned out really welland I recommend you atleast trying it out to see if it works for you. I'll try and get some pictures posted. Please post if you have tryed this.
