I've been thinking recently (dangerous I know), and I've thought about the original DOW games.

The main two things I've been playing recently are Dark Crusade, and Warhammer Fantasy with my Lizardmen and Orcs and Gobbos, and I thought, why don't they make a DOW style Warhammer Fantasy game? DOW is a very fun game, and Age of Empires/Battle for Middle Earth show that a fantasy based game of that style is a good idea and can be good. What do you guys think?

I'd love one with Empire, Orcs and Gobbos, Warriors of Chaos, High Elves and Dwarfs.

Later Expansions could be: Lizardmen and Skaven. Dark Elves and Wood Elves. Vampire Counts and Tomb Kings. Beastmen and Bretonnia. And possibly Chaos Dwarfs and Ogre Kingdoms.

Uber units may be in slightly shorter supply, especially for Bretonnia and Dwarfs, and a Vehicle cap wouldn't be to useful so it'd work better as having maybe a troops cap and special unit cap (for the non-troop units) with HQ units not included in that.

Possibly there could be other maps like Amon Hen or Helms Deep in Battle for Middle Earth in the campaign mode.

Of course units wouldn't rank up like the board game but I think it would be an enjoyable game.

Your wish is my command:

Plus, you get Skaven, too

Get the version with Battle March, it expands the O&G beyond a few "Dogs of War" units and gives you Dark Elves, too.

I can vouch for Battle March. Awesome, VERY LONG, story mode, and good multiplayer.
