In RAW would a chaos dreadnought, being carried inside a super-heavy transport such as a Stormlord, still have to role on the crazed table at the start of each turn?
If they rolled the assault option I presume they'd disembark and make a run and assault normally. If they rolled fire-frenzy I guess they randomize shots against another unit inside the tank or the tank itself if there's no one else?

If there are no RAW on this, how do you think it should work?

I guess this applies to Spawn too, can they be carried in transports for more than 1 turn or do they always disembark and try to assault?

Thanks

Lunarman

There is no RaW on this, because the RaW don't factor in Apocalypse.

As it's apocalypse, you need to make something up.

I personally would say the Dread ignores the Crazed rule when embarked. Say it's being held down by REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEALLLY strong Chains

That's my thinking too, I only asked because a redshirt at my local games workshop told me I'd have to roll.

I disagree because if the CSM can turn them off after the battle then they'd just have them turned off inside the transport too.

Well the Redshirt is there to sell models, not know the rules!

But like I said, there is no RaW, so you need to just make something up and agree pre game.

Its Apoc, so do what makes sense. For my two cents, I would agree with Gwar and vote to ignore the rule while the dread in embarked. Just make sure to clarify with your opponent beforehand.

Now if the Stormlord only had a dreadnought launcher...

Gwar, can you please stop pulling this out for every single Apocalypse question as if it's an actual answer?

Yes, you need to create a house rule in this situation. Not because it's Apocalypse, but simply because the rules don't cover it.

The rules matter just as much in Apocalypse (meaning players have exactly the same freedom to create their own rules) as they do in regular 40K. Constantly answering questions with 'It's Apocalypse, so just make something up' is not helpful. If you're that uninterested in Apocalypse, just don't bother responding to the question.

Unless this answer is breaking any of the DakkaDakka Posting rules, No, I won't. I will continue to post it for apocalypse questions as it is a correct answer.

Also note that I am no longer just posting that, as you told me to not do that. Note that I am now posting that AS WELL AS giving an answer based on the rules.

Then for consistency you should be posting it for regular 40K questions as well. It's no more 'correct' for Apocalypse (particularly in a forum devoted to discussing the actual rules of the game as printed in the books) than it is for 40K, and your constant insistence otherwise won't change that.

We made rules for a LRBT Launcher. You could launch wrecked LRBTs for the uber-large blast template S9 AP3.

Bah since you don't roll for dread craze when it comes in from reserve, you don't roll if it's in a transport since it's not technically on the table.

Why do I get the feeling that 9/10 of all redshirts are tards?

Well, Stormlords(and Banehammers) are both treated as open topped for embarkation/ disembarkation and have firing platforms so it is perfectly reasonable to both allow the Blood Rage and Fire frenzy to go off while embarked; Blood rage lets it disembark and charge. And Fire frenzy would simply be a double shot with all weapons at the nearest target

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

Thank you insaniak, you may gladly add me to the list of people who agree with you. Apocalypse is a game like any other and has written rules associated with it, and saying, 'make some gak up, it's Apocalypse, who the feth cares?', isn't helpful.
