As the title says, anyone know how to magnetise the main cannon of a fire prism? Its huge, metal and I have no idea what to do with it But I would like it to be interchangeable into a falcon. I've had a look around, but can't seem to find any good answers, besides a template for making a plasticard version of the prism (which isn't preferable).

I'm guessing that someone has done it before, so any ideas/experiences would be greatly appreciated. Preferably with pictures

Oh and no I don't want to get the new all-plastic fire prisms, I don't really like how GW has designed them

Buy the plastic one - I don't think there are magnets of that size strong enough to hold up that big metal brick of a prism cannon. You might be able to do something funky with pinning, by having the cannon resting on two or more pins jutting out, but that's the best I can come up with.

Ok I'll have a shot at pinning it then, and have a fiddle around. If I come up with anything good, I'll be sure to post the results here. Thanks

If the crystal mounts horizontally you could use a couple of pins to actually hold the weight, but then use a couple of magnets to keep it snug to the turret?

someone mentioned a while back that was how they did their Dreadnought arms.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!
