Subject: Mono Tzeentch daemons: Greater daemon x2, or heralds? and grinders or princes?

Im yet to play with mono daemons since im just starting with the army, but ive been wondering, which would provide the best purpose in the army?
Want atleast 1 LoC in the army, mainly due to the model its self.
This leaves me with 1 HQ, so do i go with another LoC, fate or 2 heralds?
All 3 options would help provide a mobile firebase.
heralds could split and hunt down armour via shooting, and with breath they can take to termie hunting aswell.
2nd LoC could do much the same as the 1st and shoot anything near it to death, or move onto armour hunting.
Fateweaver would do much the same, but i'd have to keep him back more to make use of the re-roll, not only that, but he is points heavy and could run off.
So, after that descision, do i think about soul grinders?
While small arms fire does nothing, they will be my only armour in the entire army, so will attract every anti-tank weapon on the table.
They do however provide me with a ton of shooting (tongue and phlegm) and provide the only S10 in the army.
Or do i go with 3 princes? they may come out a bit more points heavy, and be subjected to small arms, but they can soak up lascannons and the likes without worry.
With wings they can also get around when needed, and provide a decent combat potential, something tzeentch lacks.
So, ideas?
Hoping there are some mono tzeentch players out there.

I Use a mono Tzeentch list every so often at 1750 points,
Consists of fateweacer, two heralds with bolt etc
9 flamers
some horrors
2 grinders and a prince
I find that set up works well, (well as well as possibel for mono god)
It works ok, not fantastically though, the heralds add multi wound annoyance targets excellent for sniping the back of vehicles.

Thanks reaver
May go with 2 heralds on the 1st part then.
Possibly throw them on discs for now until i work out how to build a chariot for them.
Or might even take 1 and scribes for the extra shooting.
So a mix of grinders / prince works well?
Wanted to go with 1 or the other, but ill have to think about this now.
Thanks again

grinders are good for forcing the enemy to spread out - which means you can pick them off in chunks easier!
the prince really helps with his bolt, and also taking out tanks up close (and dreads!)

I'm preferring the Heralds on Chariots too.
I built mine with a Horror Model on a Fantasy Disc and 2 Screamers in front. To connect the Screamers to the Horrors I used 2 small chains (originally for an anchor of a model ship)
This all mounted on a GW Chariot Base.
In game terms, they perform well, but I like the Bolt and don't give em the Flamer Template, because I don't like my Tzeentch units in Close Combat Range =)

Thanks again reaver
Ill possibly build 2 grinders and 2 princes and mix them to see what i get better results from.
Servant: Ill possibly go the same route, but ill make the base from a cut down chariot base and large round base split to either end (prefer rounded bases in 40k lol) or possibly even use the oval base.
The problem is, a regular player spams termies.
Without breath, i have no real way of taking them down, since bolt will be going at his endless supplies of dreads.
Even if i do use bolt, there isnt a super high chance of it killing a termie, and in a unit of 10, it wont do alot.

if you take enough flamers of tzeentch those termi's will die, trust me, even with a 3++ invul they're vulnerable, leave bolt on the chariots

Get a fateweaver, it's really really good. Plus a plastic model is coming out soon.

I used mono tzeentch at the 1850 level.
I have used 4 chariot heralds and have also used 1 LoC or Fateweaver + 2 chariots. I think these configurations work out better than 2 LoC. Chariots are best used as bolt platforms. I would not bother taking heralds unless you put them on chariots though.
As far as DPs vs. Grinders, both are good units. In a tzeentch or nurgle themed army I like DPs as they become pretty survivable with the higher toughness or save. Also running your three DPs along with fateweaver further increases their survivability.
I go with 3 DPs with wings and MoT. I don't bother with bolt or any other shooty stuff on them because I plan on pushing them into combat quickly.
My usual list goes something like this:
4 bolt chariots
3x3 flamers
3x8 horrors with bolt, 1 changeling
3x3 screamers
3x3 DPs with wings, MoT
If I sub in Fateweaver for two heralds I drop the screamers to make up the points.
