Just sitting here setting up a new forum for tech geeks. yes there is such a thing. And yes you can be both without being the other.

Then it popped into my head that as new members are setting up there accounts I could let them choose to have an age bar on their profile.

Which lead me to start thinking about how long some of you have been on dakka.

Which lead to this poll.

So how old are ya?

About one year. Maybe in a month or so.

3 and a half years, roughly.

Just a tad under 2 years.

Less than 10, more than 5.

Not 100% as I no longer have my original username. Around 2004 I think, not sure which end, but I joined Neoseeker in March 2004 and it was around that point.

Dakka was the first 40K forum I found, been online since late 2002, and I know I lurked for about a year before I actually got up the nerve to post.

To be safe I'd say 6yrs.

I lurked summer of seventh grade, joined summer of eigth, almost that time of year, so two years to be safe.

10 years, 1 month, 7 days.

Not even a year, for shame.

think it has been a year.

Joined in late 99 or early 2000. I was definitely on by May 2000.

Before that I was on the Warp for several months.

Almost three years, I mostly lurked in 2007.

Just over 3 1/2 years.

Coincided with getting the internet connected at home.

About two and a half years. Which is about the same amount of time I've had my current computer. It was about that time that I finally acknowledged that the internet was an inevitable fact of life and that F#&%(*@!!!!king DOS was finally dead and gone. That's how much DOS (May it rot in hell!!!) scarred my soul. Maybe, one of these days before I die I will actually get a decent camera and show off my army. Don't hold your breath, though.

Yes i had looked at join dates. But.... I wanted a poll to show where the biggest group of dakka was. You know newbies, old far.. dakkas, and some where inbetween.

Plus I was hoping that a story or two would pop up.
