Few questions, how survivable are the boyz? Should I keep them together to gain the 4+ cover from the Mek (The trukk getting the 4+ i mean), spread them where needed or play them depending on the situation? Do they all need a bosspole? Do none of them need a Bosspole? Should I have Rokkits instead of big shootas?
Also with the Deffkoptas, Outflank or scout move them? Or adapt to the opponents army?
Any other tips that I should try to save myself abit of the learning curve that comes with learning a new army?

The mek doesnt give the boys a 4+ cover save, he gives them a 5+, the force field creates a 5+ cover for legged models, but a 4+ for vehicles since it counts them as obscured, it was
GW lazy way of going around the whole "a vehicle must be more then 50% concealed...." and grant them a save.
Seperate the deffkoptas, function far better as individual units, they NEED TLR and/or Buzzsaw to pop your enemies vehicle, if you dont have the points, gak can one kopta and replace as upgrades. TLR has a good range to pop vehicles, and a
str 7 on a charge turn one is always fun with buzzsaw... either wise, spot on.
