Could be a supersize Sentinel, maybe something Orky?

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Could be...but I do know it is kind of cool.

Nice, that's a pretty interesting kit. Even for parts that would be a winner.

Maschinen Krieger has a lot of fun stuff in it. Krotes are an autonomous lil' combat drone that are deployed in formations with the smaller Armored Fighting Suits.

Way to big for a sentinel. I've seen one in person. But the kits are great and full of detail parts, like springs and hoses. If you make one into an ork Dread you wold make some Mak fans cry

Nice find. I saw that when I was looking through my usual Gundam model purchases.

That thing is AWESOME!

And, would maybe make an awesome Adeptus Mechanicus Super-Heavy for Apocalypse.

1/20 is an odd scale, isn't it?

All of the Maschinen Krieger stuff is done in weird scales. There's 1/20, 1/32, 1/52...

Sorry for the stupid question, but is the head in the pics facing backward? At first I thought not but looking at the legs I'm getting a bit confused =p

It could be made into something imperial, orky or even tau I think, there are elements of the design that could suit all three with a bit of tweaking. Pretty cool!

Ma.K stuff rocks.

The turret/cockpit could be used as IG or Tau and the legs and mechanical looking bits could definitely become 'Orky'.

Make sure you do - it is pretty cool!

And, considering the hobby we're in, not that expensive!

In my happy place, I'm in my happy place...

I see Mechanicus all over that, one of the most fun counts as armies I ever faced was Mechanicus that counted as Orks.

This model is actually older than WH40k is. I bought one of them when it was first released by Nitto (then called S.F.3.D) - I understand that this range of kits bankrupted them due to the high production costs (they included metal and etched parts). The kits are based on the approach to the models in the original Star Wars films, in that they're assembled from various other kits, especially large scale Formula 1 racing cars (which is probably why they went for 1/20 scale), and they tend to have visible worky bits. For instance, the Krote uses the seats from a Tamiya armoured car (they're sitting on top of the legs - the AT-AT from Empire Strikes Back uses parts from the same kit). The plastic they use is rather brittle, and not as easy to work with as GW's plastic.

I think it looks good but, sorry. It's definitely not worth nearly $50 to me (before shipping).
