trying to stay true to a very stompy swamp 'em style that ive always loved about orks

hq - bigmek w/FF - 85pts
hq - weirdboy w/warphead - 85pts

troops - 24 slugga boys (1 is nob w/PK and BP)
- 2 of the boys with rokkits - 204pts

troops - 24 slugga boys (1 is nob w/PK and BP)
- 2 of the boys with rokkits - 204pts

troops - 24 shoota boys (1 is nob w/PK and BP)
- 2 of the boys with big shootas - 194pts

troops - 24 shoota boys (1 is nob w/PK and BP)
- 2 of the boys with big shootas - 194pts

troops - deff dread w/dcc, grot riggers and skorcha - 95pts

heavy support - 3 killa kans each w/grot riggers and rokkit - 165pts

heavy support - 3 killa kans each w/grot riggers and rokkit - 165pts

heavy support - deff dread w/dcc, grot riggers and rokkit - 105pts

total - 1496pts


so 2HQ, 5Troops, 3HeavySupport

mek allows me to take a dread as troops. the mek follows the kans and with the boys, the weirdboy is attached to a shootaboy squad generally

have i got the points right? see any problems with such a list? is it boring? suggestions welcome

Welcome to Dakka.

With that said, I would encourage you to read the forums a bit before posting. If you're posting this list for critique, the most I'll tell you here is that it's not very good, not themed, and not competitive. I'm also not feeling like making a huge list of the things wrong with it or for you to fix, because this thread is SURROUNDED by other Ork threads that I've spent three days continually posting in and giving advice in. Why don't you take a look at some of the other ork lists in this forum, what they're composed of, what critiques have been given on them....

It would go a long way.

Your list isn't too bad and has a good start to a foot themed ork list.

Firstly drop the weirdboy as it's powers are random and you could end up teleporting away and putting yourself out of KFF range.

Your boyz make 30 strong and with 3 rokkits for anti tank.

Exchange both deff dreads for 2 x3 killa kanz.Put your kanz in front of the boyz and you'll get a 4+ cover save and the big mek's kff will give the kanz a 4+ cover, simples

appreciate the feedback dash, some good points. im not gonna be running too much i the way of competitions or stuff, almost entirely just friends playing. provided i win now and then im alright with that.

also mercer, im already runing 6 kans, cant run another 6 cos FOC wont let me, (ooops just realised ive got the HS thing mixed up, its actually 3 HS already used - 2 sets of 3 kans, and a dread) could drop 1 dread for 3 kans though i suppose.
as for the rokkits for troops, ive always seen them as a bit of a waste of points cos ill be running/waaaah nearly ever turn anyways.

There's only 3 kanz listed mate and then 2 deff dreads. The max kanz you can run is 9.

If you think rokkits are a wasted because you're running why take them and big shootas? My point is against mech you need to pop the transport before you can assault what's inside. Rokkits can do this

yeah one sec maybe what i listed isnt clear. there is an (x2) written after the boys and the kans to signify 2 sets of them but meh ill edit.

and also i agree with the big shootas and rokkits thing, the only reason i run them for now is to fill in the points till i find something else to fill them in with.

right editing list to make it more clear.

Never put Grot Riggers on Kans in a squadron. If they are immobilized, they are wrecked so you're wasting points.

Rokkit on the Dread is worthless, stick to DCCW or Skorcha.

Ok that looks better but you should still drop a deff dread in favour of another 3 killa kanz because you can hide the boyz behind the kanz - you cannot do that with deff dreads.

You don't need the big shootasso I would ditch those and get more boyz.

Also as mentioned earlierthe weirdboy isn't a great hq choice as it's pretty weak but you could end up teleporting your orks else where.

I would definitely trade the Warphead for another KFF Mek.

Also, run all shoota boyz, you should move six and shoot every turn.
