You'll get a lot better help with pics. The % of people that played ME/ME2 and remember all the visuals perfectly that will be able to help you find things is probably pretty small, and no one is going to go do 40 GIS so they can help you out.

Well - Necrons can be used to make Geth.

But I'll be surprised if you complete even ONE of those "armies". You need to walk before you can run.

For geth, best bet is necrons and LOTS of green stuff I'd wager....

I hate to shoot down ideas, but I'm pretty positive you won't be able to pull this off unless you're extremely talented with green stuff.

For the Geth... I say Tau. The helmets are similar near the front. Suits work for all the larger stuff. In the news and rumor there's a great Tau walker similar to the geth walker things.

Krogans = orks, both in mentallity and size.

Quarians... Not many options.

Asari, all female and 'psykers' - maybe female models with IG rules for psykers and vets?

Taurians = Space Marines + lizardmen heads

I would suggest trying something a little less tricky; A BFG fleet, with Sovereign as the main ship. Bonus points if you can put some little speakers in it, to play his dialogue from the game. That voice is pure epic.

my thoughts exactly.......hey do you thing gw will try to make a mass effect specialist game if we can get it enough attention.....the krogan models would be great

for the turian i was thinking kroot heads and green stuff so it looks different and space marine armor (green stuffed of course)
the geth i could use son wraithgaurd or wraithlord head pieces for hood and more green stuff
quarians would be something like elves and space marines helmets....with green stuff
the krogan batarin drell vorcha salarins and Asari could be more difficult

In a word, no.

Don't get me wrong I loved Mass Effect 1 & 2, but there is not enough money in the franchise for GW to justfy optioning the rights for it. As for converting a 40K army into ME figures I wish you the best of luck but like others had said you have to be a master at green stuff work on a large scale just to pull off 500 points worth of infantry. If GW wanted to make a specialist game from a video game they would have a better chance with the Fallout Universe in 28mm skirmish games on a 4 x 4 board since the story line is more involved and less figures they would have to produce.

I don't think GW will, but that kinda depends. It's not impossible that some miniature company makes models. Considering Dragon Age has an RPG tabletop book out, I don't see why Mass Effect would be left alone. You might see some stand alone models for a pen and paper RPG if Dragon Age does well.

I would say, keep your eyes on converting one army.

Its a nice idea because both Mass Effect games are totally awesome. However I would tend to side with the depressing nay-sayers. The ME races are too different to anything in the GW lines to easily copy from. This is more than likely deliberate to create unique characters for the games but it makes dcopying them in miniature form difficult

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Well as far as rules go Necron codex would be the best way to go! For the modelling aspect well... Lets just say that you'll have to build a mass relay or use the omega 4 relay? Defeat the reapers and geth find a secret top location and basically your screwed Unless you're a greenstuff master or you could commission someone to do this for you, Commander Shepard of the SS Normandy maybe?
