I have had my sm army for a while now, but I am sick of my old black and silver colour scheme.
So can anyone suggest a cool/easy-ish to paint chapter for me. I need a chapter that doesn't require convertions like sw or da.

There aren't many Marine schemes that are hard, save the halved and quartered ones. You could paint them up as Ultramarines if you really wanted, which is just blue and gold. Mordian Blue and Shining Gold work for the two colors required, and a quick drybrush of Ultramarines Blue will finish it right up.

Thanks, I never really liked the ultramarines. Mabye a chapter that has it's own set of rules like blood angels or something like that. I'm an alright painter (2-3 years now) so a little challange is ok. The only thing is I have trouble with the shoulder pads. You know painting the chapter icon.

Don't do grey!!!

I did and its a boo boo. My idea was a cross between Confederates of the Civil War, and a grey non-descript scheme going along with the chapter "The Lost Ones"...
At one game a person asked if i was going to paint my predator!...

You could do a green scheme with white shoulder pads and gold or silver trim.

airbrush with dheneb stone and thined down armypainter will make them look good without a lot of work.and you dont need a lot of minis
