Was doing a bit of modelling to get a tyrannofex ready for a game next week. Not enough time to do a custom sculpt so I started kitbashing a tyrannofex. The first step was to convert it to be standing upright, it's currently half a head taller than a tyrant so it's a relaly solid height.

I cut the torso apart so I could reverse the body but keep the spore chimney facing the same direction. Requires a bit of trimming to the back of the spine in order for the waist to fit correctly and had to modify the square pegs on the legs so they could be rotated a bit to hold the new angle of the tail.

The arms for holding the gun were crushing claws that have been fused at the wrist I'll be building up the gun's basic shape with miliput and then doing the fine details with greenstuff. The rib area around the arms will need to be reworked and I'll be adding a lot around the neck so that it blends into the carapace smoothly.

Here's the early WIP shots

Added a chest plate from the trygon, cleaned up the miliput and added spines. Next step greenstuff.

Looks good so far, liking the swarmlord.

Only thing I will say about the tyrannofex is I think it may need some more arms, maybe a smaller set acting as supports/recoil compensators below the pair holding the gun and attached further up the gun.

EDIT: Nevermind! we seem to have posted simultaneously and your update seems to fix the issue I had perfectly!
