I'm helping to pin/build my son's Calgar figure and I can't for the life of me get his fat head into the niche provided in the armor. I've filed and clipped everything I can without altering the head, but to no avail. It's just too tall and the hose coming out to the side sticks out too much.

Any thoughts?

If the model is warped, and wont fit together properly you could always contact GW and ask for a new one?

They are nice like that!

Not sure how a massive chunk of lead (tin) gets warped... but that's an option I'll consider. I'm also thinking about a new head... think the one that it came with is pretty dopey looking anyway.

Not that it's pertinent, but I found an old Calgar figure in my junk box last night from 1994. Anyone know how rare those are?

Not terribly. I see them going for under 10 bucks on eBay all the time.

I think Calgar's head only fits in his body in a very certain way, if I recall correctly from building mine anyway. I was pretty limited in how I could pose his head. Or you could take the high road and give him a Catachan head

They get warped in molding, the molds are rubber and flex. I would go with a termi head or a plastic one from the tank sprue so it is easier to shape to fit.
