Suffolk, where the Aliens roam.

So I'm sitting here eating a Sticky Rib Pot Noodle, and I'm think this is the best damned Pot Noodle flavour they have ever done. Then it hits me thats its a limited edition and at some point down the road it'll be gone. I'm also thinking the current German Walkers World Cup Sausage flavour is lovely, but will be gone before the last flecks of confetti fall at the World cup final.

My mind thinks back to various limited editions done in the past I loved, gone never to be seen again.

I also think of products that where fave treats of mine in the past that for some reason or another have been discontinued, stuff such as the Fuse choc bar, the Blue Monster munch, Spaghetti Sauce flavour and its original smokey Bacon version. Cadbury Old Jamaica choc (rum and raisin,) Peach Angel Delight, oh how I miss you and various others.

Just wondering if there are many others here on Dakka that have had a fave snack, or treat taken away from them due to the dreaded 'Discontinued' stamp, or because it was only a limited edition?

Mine are not limited but are gems that have fallen by the wayside.

Pacers or were they spearmacs? Chewy minty sweets, white with green stripes.
The only similar treat are cheap pick and mix versions, which are not the same.

United Biscuits. Chocolate covered honeycomb and biscuit every other packet of them seemed to have at least one that was solid choccy!

Walkers did a sausage flavour crisp about 20 years ago too they were brilliant as well. I think Walkers replaced them with barbeque the dreaded, black packet.

When Crispy M&Ms were just coming out my teacher at the time's husband worked for Mars. I don't think I've ever had as many M&Ms in my life as I did 10 years ago.

You might try the new Pretzel M&M's, as they are similar.

Make sure to eat at least 1800 calories or else you won't lose any weight seeing as your body will think it is starving. Also take in just the daily value of Carbs and you'll be fine.

no offense, but I've lost 85lbs on the diet I've been on, it was prescribed by a doctor and a nutritionist, and I'm going to stick with that.

By taking in around 1000 calories a day in protein, my body thinks it's fasting, not starving, so I'm not hungry.

No worries man. I thought it was the, "I'm going on a DIET!" diet not prescribed by a doctor. Glad you're having desirable results though. I did with my diet.

I am perpetually frustrated by the fact Ginsters Turkey, Stuffing & Cranberry sandwiches are only available at Christmas time.

Also - Bacon flavour monster munch.

Walkers Chilli & Chocolate flavour were AWESOME.

If we're including seasonal stuff, then there is only one great example: Great Lakes Brewing Company Christmas Ale, a spiced beer with a very nice alcohol content.

Another vote for vanilla coke. I loved that stuff, why did it have to go?

They aren't gone yet but I am definately going to miss the burger flavoured crisped they have at the moment.

Diet is just die with a T at the end. I miss cherry vanilla coke. It had a unique sweetness to it but not overwhelming.

Quatro - fizzy drink with more chemicals in it than ICI.

I can't remember what it was called, but Ski, the yogurt people, used to make a strawberry drink in a carton ages ago that i used to have along with Philleas Fog tortillas the day after a night on the beer.

Did they get rid of that? I seem to remember having one last spring in St. Paul.

Is it drunk by cool people in the USA? Like Newcastle Brown used to be?

Oh, how we laughed.

Both are pretty much the preserve of chavs here.
