Most races are forced to rely on the tools that nature provides, but dragonspawn allow for infinite variety limited only by the imagination of their creators. The Ravagore is a walking siege engine with a deadly payload. Its blighted explosions can rip through enemies and the walls they hide behind. Once they close with the Ravagore, its heavy talons finish the job begun by its blighted breath.

You: "Hold on, you rammed, that's not a tank shock"
Me: "Ok so what is a ram, lets look at the rules."
Rulebook: "A ram is a special kind of tank shock"
You: "So it's a tank shock until it hits a vehicle, and then it's a ram, not a tank shock, and then it goes back to being a tank shock later!"
Me: "Yeah it doesn't really say any of that in here, how about we just play by what's written in here?"

Didn't Legion already have a heavy beast that was huge, with 2x melee attacks talons and a spray attack? Or will this have an AOE? Will anyone care?

It looks fine, but it basically just looks like a Carnivean with different hands and a fireball coming out of it's mouth...and Carniveans already have a breath attack thing, like whitedragon said.

I'm just not seeing the draw. It'd be more exciting if it was more unique compared to the Carnivean.

Given that the Carnivean based Scythean is coming out at around the same time it does seem a pretty dull crop for Everblight so far.

Its cool, but everblight REALLY needs more imagination.

I'm angry that its very dry - legion is just.. all the same all the time.lol.

Hell, we might be getting 2 (3?) recast warbeasts but my God they look bloody awsome! Granted I like my 8 spray legion army as of current, I might have to expand my warbeast selection!

Given the number of reworked Primal beasts being released this has got to be paving the way for multi-beast plastic kits at some point in the future, next year at the earliest.

*Pure speculation warning* I'm guessing the pattern will be four beasts to a kit.

Legion: Carnivean, Scythean, Ravagore, *new beast*
Circle: Feral Warpwolf, Pureblood Warpwolf, Warpwolf Stalker, *new beast*
Skorne: Titan Gladiator, Titan Cannoneer, Titan Sentry, *new beast*
Trollkin: Dire Troll Blitzer, Dire Troll Bomber, Dire Troll Mauler, *new beast*

Why 4? Warmachine only got three to a pack (ignoring Khador).

I don't want plastic beasts. Rat ogre flashbacks. shudder

Because there are already three of each beast type, adding another one at the resculpt stage makes sense.

Multi part plastic 'monsters' don't have to be bad, look at the Rackham Aberration Prime.

Thats true, and in a pinch, they can easily rep each other. For example, it wouldn't be too difficult to change the head on that Ravagore with a Carnivean and have two different looking Carniveans. The Warpwolf Stalker could very easily rep a Feral Warpwolf as well, and same with the Titan. *shrug*.

The only thing that surprises me is that they're not doing it already. Although maybe the problems with the plastic light warjacks for Warmachine have pushed everything back.

It really seems that these last batch were designed to be produced in multibeast set as there is no sense in copying the torso if you are planning on doing only metal figs.

The PP plastic kits have had problems before the light jacks, the plastic models from Metamorphosis took their time.

he, that Rackham model is my carnivean and I also have one as a scythean with the alternative arms My entire legion is based on rackham stuff (metals) except vayl...

OT: I think plastic would be a good step, maybe not so much for income, but more for extra support. If making it plastic and exchangeable it is easier to lure people in. That way people get into the game and buy the plastics. then they buy the metals to add to their collections. in the end it evens out...

Privateer has always used parts from some kits in others. IIRC the Mule or Nomad Merc jacks use a part from the Cygnar Ironclad.

I imagine PP is simply continuing a practice they set in place early in Warmachine. No insidious plan for sneaking plastics by us.

I bet it helps PP on the number of molds they have on hand.

There were no plastic PP models before Prime mkII.

Not true. The Warspears for EB and the Fennblades for Trolls were plastics from Metamorphosis, a MkI Hordes book.

They did not get released until just before Prime MkII came out. My Fennblades had a MkI card.
