So while I wait for my DKoK to arrive I have spent several hours looking at different paint schemes.

I was inspired by the simplicity of these guys http://www.chaos-dwarfs.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=1519&page=3

The only thing I don't like about them are the bases. I am trying to figure out a way to make some trench style bases for them but have no idea how to do it.

Suggestions are most appreciated.

Well, you could do something similar to what I'm planning for my Steel Legion.

Make the bases look like the bottom of a trench (half with boards and wood on their bases to represent the wooden bottom) and half with dirt but make them look like they are running.

Then, put them in a movement tray, model the tray to look like a trench, put the appropriate men in the places (wooden at the back, dirt at the front) and put some razor wire and sandbags on the front of the tray.

Your trench bases are done!
