Do you think its viewed that way?
Yes , some ppl are fat and actually get called that so its possible
No, its typical for shamans and druid to run around barking or meowing since... thats their morphing form
I dont know , but i dont think its usual for ppl to assume its intended as an insult

Well Dakka i have a question that occurred in game lol
For those of you that dont know , warcraft have classes that can morph into animals.

So sometimes when i run around town , i go around going woof woof or meow meow or moo as greeting to my guild.

Today i was booted out of guild because the guild master's wife said I did that to call her a cow when i moo'd and i called her a bich when i barked.
Honestly i had zero intention of that , if anything if i moo or bark or meow, arnt i the one that is the animal? ( druid )

Well i dunno... so vote for it

To be honest, if that's the behaviour of the guild leaders I wouldn't really want to stay.

It doesn't sound like very think skin and seems like bad leadership. Be glad you're out now and prepare for a HUGE drama fueled implosion in the future.

My mighty druid occasionally meows at people, so i think they are just being silly.

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

A moonkin in my guild regularly would say "cluck cluck" when he logged in. I see the "arf arf" sometimes from a hunter because of her wolf pet. Sounds like someone was overreacting.

"I drive a big car, cuz I'm a big star. I'll make a big rock-and-roll hit." "I am a big car, and I'm a strip bar. Some call it fake, I call it good-as-it-gets."

I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.

Im curious if theres more to it than just the claimed insults.

I often had problems in WoW with guildmates that had the same role in raids- as I would generally out preform them. When youre the newbie in a guild and you're outhealling their best healers there was alot of static when I got more praise than they did.

You'd think a team spirit of 'Wow, that extra healing means we can get into deeper raids now!'

But in reality the other 3 or 4 healers generally get insecure- and seem to think you're saying how much they suck.

Thats just one example of the sort of silliness that can be at work. Depending on that guilds loot structure for raids(if youre a raider) you may have got the boot because Princess cow/bitch was afraid you'd get some piece of gear she thought she deserved more.

After hearing of silliness like this- Im glad I broke the WoW addiction.

There are a million reasons why and why not.

Sounds like you just pissed off the leaders over something or many somethings prior and they were already gunning for you then one day you were doing too much sounds effects etc and they booted you.

You weren't doing all that stuff over vent were you? Or gods forbid, during a raid? Cos I co-led a guild on EQ2 and I'd have purged your ass from the guild sooner than you could say 'but what about my contributions to the guild bank?' if you were interrupting the raidspeak during a mission.

I think she needs to get over herself, and needs to hit the treadmill rather then the keyboard if shes getting that defensive. I dunno, never got that into WoW

I just joined that guild for around 3 days , all i ever did was say hi when i log on and gnite when i log off. Im way too low lvled so i cant really go anywhere with them , and i never pester them for items of free runs either.

The only time i ever get near 3 feet within them is when i was bored and i went to see them infront of the dungeon entrance.

So the only possible extra aggravation possible would be... i dunno... if thats stalking lol

That would be a funny way to greet people. Imagine that at a bank
Hello ma'am what can I help you with today?
ARF ARF
scuse me?
me?ow?
Im sorry can I...
MOO!

Seriously, shes probably mad that her hubby is cheating on her with the guild female troll hunter that is really another man living in Florida. I used to play WoW forever ago, and I pretty much HATED being in guilds, I only joined to get things from the bank, and then sell it for profit. Not only that but I was a REALLY bad ass Orc tank, and would usually scam the guild masters for money to help them not die. It was a nice racket I had going. Anywho, just find another guild, there are plenty out there

I do not claim to understand the nuances of social etiquette which exist in World of Warcraft, but as an outside observer I think that was quite the overreaction.

I mean, for one, unless you're simultaneously involved in a video chat, how are you even supposed to know what the person actually looks like? I understand avatar creation in video games has come a long way from simple palette swaps, but really?

Eternal Plague

Aghh....

WoW is destructive unto itself.

Every little nuance of the internet is distilled into the game itself, and it is impossible to avoid everything.

If you were honest and apologetic in offending her, stating clearly you never intended for those greetings to be construed as such, and they still do not accept it, then you should feel clear of this situation and move on.

Need to find a better guild Luna, I'd advise mine, but sadly we are in the good ole Servers of Euroland.

Got to be someone out there on your server with half a sense of humour.

Oh and if she was a Tauren, she really needs to grow up, half the Tauren I know use the Moo emote, or have Moo in their name somewhere.

This. You've got to remember that your behavior reflects upon the guild, yadda yadda yadda. The more respected the guild, the better behaved you've got to be when interacting with the general server population.

Meh. She is clearly insecure or an idiot. People do that all the time. I get moo'd at every time I log in since I play a tauren. My nickname is even the moo machine. Cows flying helicopters is why wow is great.

Or, if you didn't really engage in chat or anything, they might have had suspicion about you being an alt of someone they didn't like.

I know we had to kick one or two fruitloops and they tried to join/sabotage as alt characters, not realising that on EQ2 you could just look alts up on the website if they hadn't locked access.

Sounds like a gakky guild.

The guild I'm currently in (though haven't played WoW in over a month as my ethernet port on my mobo died and I can't afford to upgrade) is a very fun guild. It is small and not very far along (some of us 80's had JUST started doing ICC the last time I played) and we don't have problems like that.

The guild I was in before lasted about 2 years. We had just started doing Naxx10 when the majority of guilds had naxx25 on farm and were doing ulduar 10/25. We had members quit because we weren't going fast enough but we had as much fun joking around and chatting about non-wow stuff during raids as we did raiding. We took raiding seriously enough to not wipe ever 5 minutes but we weren't a "OMG YOU CAN'T TELL JOKES OVER VENT DURING THE RAID" serious. I know some guilds that are that way and I don't care if they can beat the next line of dungeons blizz throws at us in Cataclysm the first night it's released. I'd never play in a guild like that.

I'm sorry, if someone gets that offended from animal noises and actually believes them to be sexual slanders I suggest that you remove yourself from the internet completely because it is too scary for you. If THAT really puts a bee in your bonnet I wonder what these people are like in real life. God.
