In reference to this thread. Sorry for the confusing information on the web site/online store. We believe we have all of them straightened out now. In regards to the Baal Predator, the actual correct price is indeed $45.00.

Thanks for alerting us to the mistakes. If you spot anything else which looks out of whack please contact us at:

Thanks but...

How will we know?

$65 for a tank doesn't seem out of line at all these days.

I mean, Land Raiders are like $60 right?

$17 for a single power-armored model.  Does anybody actually buy those?

It might as well be $9999.99 as far as I'm concerned.  Maybe my taste in miniatures isn't refined enough, but that doesn't look like a $17 model to me.

How do you think when I went to buy Eldrad and found out that he was $20?

I have to admit, I am soooo glad I got my old school DA character figs (namely Azrael, Ezekial and Asmodai) way back when they were reasonably priced and I feel terribly sorry for newcomers that purchase single figures at those ridiculous prices just to get a decently sculpted figure. I guarantee that thanks to such predatory pricing recasts are going to proliferate even further. Only in Games Workshop's mind does it make sense to raise prices while suffering the greatest loss of revenue & profit in the company's history.

I'm glad I matter so much to you that you need to make posts about me

Huh.  Now I wonder how GW found out the problem?

Was there this huge influx of people trying to buy it, so they can post it on ebay and make a killing with it.  (i.e. - PS3)  And when the order was placed, an alarm was sounded when one of the Internet Store grots said out loud, "Wow.  That's expensive.  Even for us!"

Hello Crimson Devil,

Your avatar is green.

Please try harder.

Are all your posts this eloquent?

Apparently, someone out there still has enough faith in GW to believe this was a mistake and report it. I couldn't tell if it was the real price or not.

I agree. I though $65 was the real price.

GW is always raising prices so much, I just accepted this as the cost. Even more so because they are coming out with a BA revison.

If I sent them an e-mail for every product who's price I though was out of whack, then Rich's mail box would be full.

2 years ago Eldrad was $13 and the Ulrik the Slayer model was $10. I know when the price went way up when they went to the ABCDE blister pricing. But my question is,  why such a huge increase on the price of an old existing model?

Hey General Hobbs, a question regarding your sig: who's Mylarapoopy1701? I did a search on his name to see if what you say is true, but he doesn't appear to be a registered Dakka user.

So let me get this straight....I make a sig that is satirical of posts made online, poking fun at myself, and I am labelled as being a troller, but people can whine  in every single post they make about GW prices ( yet not other game company prices when many are at the same level of GW prices) which will always invite virulent repsonses gets a free pass?

Interesting. Lighten up and take a chill pill

I just made up the name....sheesh its a joke people. Mylar balloons are filled with hot air ( or helium...you get the point). 1701 is the number of the Enterprise, and who was filled with hot air on that show? It does convey my sentiments towards people and the constant negativisim and price bashing. IMHO its better to light a candle then curse the darkness. If you think GW's prices are too high, go buy a set of golf clubs and take up another hobby.

GW takes most of the blame because they set the pricing standard for the industry.

IMO if GW wrote thier rule books better I think prices would be less of an issue. Which is mainly why I don't gripe about other company's prices.

The editing of the company sucks....all the page references in the Eldar codex...the stuff like fiery demagogue and the Wolf Guard entry in the SW codex....it gives one a headache.

On topic: Character models are ridiculously priced. But it's probably patially to do with (but not justified by) the fact that they can expect to sell less Ulrics than tactical squads.

Perhaps you need to re-read the thread and see that in fact I did not post first nor have I included a signature that is a thinly veiled personal attack on another poster that appears in all of his posts (including the aforementioned post in this thread). That, plus a quick read of his recent post history will pretty clearly indicate that I am not the troll...

Of course.  It's supply and demand.  There's less demand for Ulric so they raise the price.  Basic economics.

You can get around that by using leftover pieces and making conversions of the characters. They give you so many bitz now on the sprues that you can make a cool interpetation of any character...just takes some work.
