I dunno.  Was Ygethmor important?  I'd never even heard of him until Medusa V.  Does Abaddon really even need a "Chosen?"

Cabin Boys are ALWAYS important!

Who's writing the fluff for this Campaign? If it's Good 'ol Gav, expect a whole lot of active inaction and an inconclusive conclusion. The ending of SoC, in fact the whole thing still chaffes my grot.

Jesus. I try not to complain about GW and the studio so much, but Gav... Gav needs to stop writing.

Thes campaigns are not designed to make sense. Their conclusions are of no import to the game or the back-story. They are designed to generate initial interest and sales. If activity in the stores go up sales go up.

Who wins is even less important that how they win. Whether the Orks raise a great waagh and overrun the Empire, or a race of mutant rabbits is set free by the skaven to kick the dwarfs in the nads, its all the same.

And yet the same people who complain about an all race campaign will also be the ones who will complain again when a campaign does not involve one of their armies...
I dunno.  If your army isn't involved that just means that it won't be the one to lose to the space marines.

Alaric sought a new rune, and in time, found a variation on the Rune of Kingship — the Rune of Ages. This Rune would not only retain and distill the wisdom of each of its wearers, passing it on to those who followed, but give the bearer control of their very destiny. Any who wore it would become master of his fate, and that of his entire race.

Yep, sounds like something that won't be playable on the tabletop; as someone previously posted the crown will probably fall down another hole at the end of the campaign.

Nice site though; lots of info and fluff.

"I've got my eye on you!"

The Nemesis Rating system already does much to negate the impact of people cheating — their rating won't go up much after the first few times they report Massacres against an account that only ever loses.

However, like every global campaign, we'll also be on the lookout for suspicious accounts. After years of Games Workshop campaigns, we have a good idea of what unscrupulous behaviour looks like, and our system is designed to help us identify players who may be cheating.

These accounts will be marked on the leaderboard with the "I've got my eye on you!" icon. It doesn't necessarily mean that they are cheating, but that such unnatural good fortune strongly suggests that they've been consorting with forbidden powers, and our Witch Hunters will be despatched to put them to the question. If you have been cheating, you would be well-advised to present a reformed character by the time they get to you!

No account will ever be disabled based solely on automatic systems. Suspicious accounts will be checked by their region's local coordinator, and if they check out okay, they will be unmarked. Woe betide any who fail the test!

How long before someone figures out how to circumvent this system . . .

The bigest problem with past campaigns is that they wern't campaigns they were popularity contests. The army with t the most players always dose well. Why you ask, its because most of the reported games were never played, they were just votes for their side. This won't change, it can't with current technology. The answer is simple. Change the focus of the campaign, make scenarios, models and fun games the focus, not who has the largest tally of votes. have contests for best battle photos, best battle report, best looking non-store table/terrain for gaming. Things that can inspire others. Not who has the most players.

Well, if only games played at a registered store, and reported by that store, counted then you would have at least one more check against cheating, and it would encourage people to play at their local store (and maybe buy more at that store).
