I see Apocalypse as an easy way to pick out the choads when gaming. I'm not talking about the theoretical garbage that we talk about here that will never hit the table, I'm talking about the people who actually show up to game with 15 Abbaddons (or however you spell that; I'm too lazy to look it up).

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k. Rule #1 - BBAP

I've already planned on always fielding my night gobbo army as grots just for the grot "cover save"
I should be able to make a line of them across any deployment zone giving our whole army the grot save- and the best part....32 units of 10 so they won't ALL run away

I added up my points, and i can field a combined IG and Marine army at around 7500 points easy, more if i pick up a Baneblade. The army isnt super cheesed out either. That would be a lot of fun.

I'm frankly kind of partial to big units of genestealers inside of landraider crusaders..... We were gonna stuff that mycetic swarm thing of 5 fexes in there, but then we remembered MCs can't get in vehicles. Stealers should do a pretty good job though.

Unfortunately, the rules for LRCs only tell you how many models in Terminator armour or power armour can get in. Genestealers fall into neither category.

It all really just comes down to who the people in your gaming group are and how crazy they want to get. You could have some wacky battles with ten different armies in a big free for all, but I generally find those games to be boring and involve too many sweaty guys all packed around a single table, and it takes forever to get things done. Someone bringing 15 Abbadons would be a neat novelty, but I'd be way more interested in a battle that had some semblance of an actual conflict rather than a cartoony mish-mash of monstrous creatures and special characters... Maybe that's all 40k is though...

Heh, at my local GW they said I couldn't take 15 Abbadons because he is a unique special character! They said only one is ever allowed ever. So apparently, if you and I are both playing chaos, only one of us gets to take him, even if we play against each other. Maybe if GW had a tuition assistance program, more of their staff could learn to read. Oh wait, the guy proposing this farce has a masters....

a cartoony mish-mash of monstrous creatures and special characters... Maybe that's all 40k is though... QFT, and nice sig too. or somebody puts a dozen karhn the betrayers on the table. I was actually just thinking about doing that, but also trying to scheme around how bad the model is. Maybe get a box o' zerkers and give them all kharn's head, a chainaxe and a plasma pistol? I may just, because I can. - Salvage

Hmmm...you could get almost 100 Meiotic Spore Sacks in 3000 points.
I can just see it now: "I brought 100 Meiotic Spores!" "Oh yeah? My 42 Orbital Lance Strikes should take care of those!"
Initial deployment would be quick at least...
