There isn't a download for the WH mod yet, but I'm hearing consistent rumors it will be released somewhere between Thanksgiving and Christmas of '07. I've also heard they are getting help from the Dawn of War Pro team (a fan balance mod that's awesome) for balancing the army. I really think this will be the best "army mod" for Dawn of War; I'm really looking forward to trying it.

I was reading the preview of Dawn of War: Soulstorm in Games for Windows. This quote had me shaking my head in puzzlement: "Further complicating the balance issues is the addition, for the first time, of air units. Every race is getting them in Soulstorm except for the Necron, who (being underground for 60 million years) simply did not have the lore to support it in GW's elaborate storyline." Those are spaceships, not small, close air-support vehicles. The scale difference is immense.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k. Rule #1 - BBAP

@njfed: Those Necron ships are on the order of thousands of meters long. If one of those things were even in orbit, the mission would be pointless, because it would bombard everything on the surface of the planet. This would be like Imperial Guard players complaining that they should be able to field Emperor class Battleships. The puny scale of these battles could be held one hundred times over inside one of those ships without overlapping on space.

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling, which thinks that nothing is worth war, is much worse. The person, who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
