Well I kind of moved near Toronto, actually.

With two heavy support free you're shorting yourself. Wraithlords go well with guardians, Fire Prisms go well with everything. But 2x Wraithlords w/ BL and ML are gold when it comes to pure anti-tank.

I'm also personally partial to D-Cannons I don't know if they can be considered reliable anti-tank w/ only 24" range. But they hurt .

I'd still think the Vibro Cannon is a better buy than the D-Cannon. A couple of things come to mind:

-Easier to hit with a Vibro Cannon. The more you have, you chances of hitting increase.
-Longer range
-Can hit multiple units

The downside is there is no chance a Vibro Cannon can get a Penetrating hit.

However, to give fair credit, a well placed D Canon can really give fits for your opponents as they really debate bringing their units into the D Cannon's kill zone.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

Its not the vibro cannon's effectiveness in a general sence that I'm skeptical about, its the vibro cannons' anti tank ability. If I remember the rule correctly, each vibro cannon battery (squad) can only get 1 glance on something with an AV per turn. While the likelyhood of getting this glance is fairly high with large batteries, it seems that the damage output is somewhat minimal. Now I suppose its one of the few weapons in the game that can perform both anit tank and anti infantry roles at the same time (in the same shooting phase) so I suppose that's something to be said for it, but again, we are looking purely at its anti tank power at the moment.

Threads should be like skirts: long enough to cover what's important but short enough to keep it interesting.

Phoenix, the joy of running Vibrocannons is this:

You place 3 of them 4 inches apart from each other (or as much as you can behind a terrain piece and still hide). You have crew, so they let you do this.

Then you roll 3 dice, any of them come up 4+ you've hit.

Now you draw a line from ANY of the cannons, to anywhere on the board that's 36" away.

Any vehicles hit take a glance, and any non-vehicle units take D6 hits.

Don't forget you don't need LOS to anything at any time to make them work.

It's really really hard not to get clipped by a line, and I know I run up and kill the unit as soon as I can. Over the course of a game, they are far too dangerous to be left alive. 6 turns x 1-2 glances/turn + 1-3 D6 hits on my units? Gee, no I think that's something I need to stop right away. lol

I dont take skimmers in my Eldar army, so its a real problem for me. Wraithlords BL/ML are probably my main tank killer, combined with fire dragons for tanks/heavy infantry.

Dragons sans transport? Brave man. How do they do?

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Probably your best bet is the fire dragons in the falcon. But as said before the wraithlord option helps the counter assault option of the army as well.

I use Fire Dragons in a Falcon and a Wraith Lord with bright lance and eldar missle launcher to kill tanks. Looking to convert a bike farseer and some bike warlocks though.
