I'm probably going to use this as a springboard for a WIP blog about the BFG fleet that I'm building. That said, nobody's really talked about a shipyard yet, but it only makes sense that it would piggyback off of the Forgeworld. I'm also going to break with the Russian flavor in favor of something more Greek (!!) Illian Segmentum: Pacificum Sub-Sector: Xanthus System: Marculos Inhabited Moons and Planets: 2 PLANETARY SURVEY Summary: Illian has a sister planet, Ollian, in an extremely close orbit - the Adeptus Grand Tech Magos Il'ran Khalok has even speculated that at one point they were one planet, split apart in an Eldar science experiment that left Illian with most of the mineral resources, and Ollian with most of the water. However, resources to exploit Eldar ruins on Ollian were never released, and the mystery remains. The funds were instead spent on establishing an outpost on Illian which was successful enough to compete for (and win) a charter for a modest shipyard facility, Port Calypso, in orbit around Illian. Size: Equatorial distance – 4,371mi Gravity: 1.801G Satellites: One sister planet Population: 4 billion Climate classification: Arid Mean surface temperature: 18 C Tropospheric Composition: Nitrogen 76%, Oxygen 13%, Carbon Dioxide 6%, Other gases 3% Climatic Regions: Southern polar cap Seas: None, however, there are several rivers that run north from the southern polar cap. Notable Natural Phenomenon: Medium to strong earthquakes plague the planet's northern magnetic polar region. Flora: A hardy local lichen grows on most of the planet - over the last 100 years, there have been several failed attempts to introduce flora on the banks of the local rivers, with no success. Fauna: Several insignificant species of insectoid creatures that exist in conjunction with the lichen. Economy: Production of ships, exports of mineral resources Society: Monarchy - The Lord of the Heights, with a line that goes back to the founding of the planet, is the political figurehead of the world. Economic structure is based loosely on a feudal-capitalist model, with districts presenting a semi-annual tithe to a Lord of the Hills, who in turn present an annual tithe to the Lord of the Heights. Water Supply: The monarch of Illian maintains his grip on power by having sole control of the logistical infrastructure of liquid freight ships that move water from Ollian to Illian. Principle Exports: Imperial Navy Cruisers, Frigates, and Destroyers, Iron, Chromium, Uranium Principle Imports: Food, Water, Laborers Food supply: 15% Local Production, 85% Imported Urbanization: 7 large Hive Cities with 11 smaller hives around the base of the southern pole. Imperial Guard Foundings: 41st Illian Mountain Corps Major Conflicts of Note: Soldiers from the Illian 7-41st Armored Battalion saw action in fighting on the snow-covered planet of Sanctuary III under an Inquisition mandate. There, they were badly mauled defending Colonel Vash's western flank against Eldar raiders, but held the line, allowing his forces to deal a decisive blow to the Eldar's Tau allies before wheeling to face this secondary threat. ( This was my first campaign at the local FLGS, where I lost a lot of games to the local Eldar player, but had a good time doing so and learning the game ).

Metallum (latin for metal)
Atmosphere: none
Surface: Composed of vast seas of elemental mercury, one large land mass that is composed of a strange alloy of metals unknown to the Adeptus Mechanicus. No evidence of water on the surface.
Planet Composition: Crust composed of previously mentioned alloy. A lack of a magnetic field has suggested the absence of a spinning core.
Flora: none
Fauna: A strange silicon based form of life that requires neither water nor an atmosphere to survive. All attempts to communicate have been repoted to be a failure.
The planet has been put under protection of the Mechanicus, who has refused any access to the system by the Inquisition. It is suspected by the Inquisition that the Mechanicus has discovered a means of communication with the 'tech-xenos' and this has become a point of tension in the already unsteady relations between the two factions.
*this is a work in progress. I want to come back later and add more details.*

Stavia IV
Segmentum: Tempestus
Sub-Sector: D-209
System: Stavian
Moons: Nil
Sattelites: Multiple asteroids orbit the planet. A single offworld space-hub exists.
STAVIA IV SUMMARY
Stavia is an outpost/colony system located on the outer rim of the Segmentum Tempestus. Stavia IV is the furthest of eight inhabitable planets, and is a research, training and raw-production hub for the sector. It is dwarfed by the larger colony worlds of Stavia Primaris and Stavia II, though it is the same size as the night world of Stavia III. Stavia IV exports a number of semi-precious metals and gems, as well as high-grade ores found under it's kilometre thick layer of snow and ice.
Stavia also tithes Imperial Guard regiments of a high calibre, due to the planet's immense wealth and small population, these guard regiments are well equipped and trained before being sent to war. However, Stavia IV also contains a number of penal colonies, and often exports thier prisoners insead of tithes.
Size: Equatorial distance – 4,400 miles.
Gravity: 1.24G
Satellites: 1
Population: 98 Million
Climate classification: Ice World (Theta Class)
Mean surface temperature: -22 Celcius
Tropospheric Composition: Oxygen 16%, Nitrogen 80%, 4% Carbon Dioxide
Climatic Regions: Equatorial mountain ranges ring the planet.
Seas: Multiple reports of subterranian oceans spanning some 22% of the planet
Climatic phenomena: Strong blizzards often occur. Under-ice glacial paths leave caverns through deep bedrock thousands of miles long, and dozens wide.
Flora: 2,500 Species, most introduced.
Fauna: 900 Species aprox, most introduced.
Economy: Raw materials, Precious materials.
Society: Constitutional Monarchy, current head of state is officially King Dirrah Al-Wadi and also holds the title of planetary govenor. King Al-Wadi was also elected by the voting populace as head of state under an Ordos approved system, arbitrated by the Adeptus Arbites..
Water Supply: Ice content is 90% pure H2O, water is melted on-site in large vats or in production drills.
Principle Exports: Iron, Chromium, Tungsten. Various precious metals (Platinum, Gold, Silver). Promethum reactants and some Hydrocarbon fuels.
Principle Imports: Promethium, Grain, Meat, Foodstuffs.
Food supply: Specially cultivated ice-resistant plants provide much of the food supply for the colonies. As well as ice-living animals raised for meat. Some foodstuffs imported.
Urbanization: Multiple small hives, and underground mining stations. Space-link hub at Orcaria City.
Imperial Guard Foundings:
All Stavian IV regiments begin with the number 4 (As those from Stavia III would begin with 3).
Stavian 4th, 49th and 427th, All called to Cadia to defend the Cadian Gate for abaddons 12th Crusade.
Stavia IV only produces tithe regiments, it's planetary defence is the responsibility of the Stavian System PDF Forces, specifically, the 401st, 402nd, and 409th Legions, totalling 2,000,000 men.
Major Conflicts of Note:
Stavian IV Cleansing (Heretic Rebellion in mining colonies). 202.M38
Stavian IV Cleansing (Miners Rebellion) 988.M40
Stavian 44th, 45th and 46th Regiments successfully defended Abitus Valley against Hive Fleet Behemoth, despite having been sent to a jungle world and ill equipped to deal with the threat, the regiments held for three days without resupply before the lines were broken. Three survivors from the 45th Regiment were recovered alive and returned to Stavia IV.

Westlier V
Segmentum: Pacificum
Sub-Sector: Xanthus
System: Westlier (West-Ly-r)
Inhabited Moons and Planets: 3
Asteroids: 0
Comets: 2. Othos, orbits once every 357.4 years. Idit, orbits once every 69.7 years.
Westlier V- PLANETARY SURVEY
Summary: Westlier V is a world covered in ash. It has several colonies on it, with people who have learned to live a hard, brutal life. The ash has been caused by a huge asteroid impacting Westlier V only recently. These have caused most life to be wiped out from Westlier. Luckily, Westlier’s first moon, Fidit, is similar to an Agri-world, developing food for Westlier V. Westlier V, in turn, produces weapons for Fidit, and for their Tithes to the Imperium. Recently, a force of Dark Mechanicus has taken over the planet. A strike force is attacking as we speak.
Size: Equatorial Distance- 7,907 miles
Gravity: 1.6
Satellites: 3
Population: 67,000
Climate classification: Death World Lambda Class
Mean surface temperature: 56°F
Tropospheric Compositions: 18% Oxygen, 27% Carbon Dioxide, 55% Nitrogen
Climatic Regions: The two hemispheres are either extremely hot, or extremely cold.
Seas: 1 small sea in the Southern Hemisphere
Climatic phenomena: The equator has extreme storms similar to hurricanes and tornadoes because the hot weather and the cold weather meet.
Flora: None
Fauna: 200 introduced species
Economy: Weapons (Lasguns), and some stone.
Society: Technocracy/Techworld. Magos Cothrine (Soth-Rine) is the current Planetary Governor. However, he answers to the Dark Gods only.
Water Supply: 75% liquid water, 25% water vapor.
Principle Exports: Lasguns,
Principle Imports: Foods of every kind.
Food supply: Imported. (See above)
Urbanization: Practically the entire northern Hemisphere is covered in hives, sending pollution in to the air. The southern Hemisphere is almost covered as well. In total, about 75% of the world is urbanized.
Imperial Guard Foundings: 427th Light Infantry, 456th Heavy Infantry.
Major Conflicts of Note: The Conquest of Westlier V has been one of the only major conflicts, involving the 401st Glider Borne Infantry Regiment, and the Howling Falcons chapter of Space Marines. These fought against rigid resistance from traitorous Imperial guardsmen. The 401st and the Howling Falcons attacked and destroyed vital positions to allow the 121st Heavy Infantry regiment to attack.
The second one is currently under way. No name has been given to this campaign. The soldiers call it the War of Westlier V. The 427th and 456th Infantry Regiments are fighting there with the Howling Falcons, trying to dislodge the Dark Mechanicus.

Inquisitor,
As you well know, warp storms at the edge of Segmentum Pacificum rescently lifted for the first time in recorded history last month. Our expedition was sent into the uncharted system within to survey any worlds and scout for possible Chaos incursion. What we found may very well change the course of the Imperium forever.
Our initial scans of the sector immediatly revealed that several planets and moons were inhabited by a space fareing race of humans. Following proper protocall we hid inside an asteroid belt at the very edge of the system and started long range scans and probes. So far we have gathered the following information:
* System consists of 13 Planets (5 Colonized) and 5 moons (2 Colonized)
* System shows signs of longterm warfare. What they are/were fighting is still unknown at this time.
* System is controlled by Non-Xeno lifeforms.
* Scans of system ships show signs of advanced pre-dark age tech. Possibility of a complete and functional STC is extremly High!
++ NOTE++ Recommend the Adept Mechanicus on Mars be contacted and a advanced party dispatched immediatly for further study ++
* System Culture appears to be highly military centric. The prospects for possible Space Marine/Imperial Guard recruitment are outstanding.
* Estimated total Population is unknown, but may exceed 120 billion.
++ ATTACHED PICTS FROM LONG RANGE PROBES ++
Thunderbolt hiding in debrie field as Unknown Military Cruiser drifts past. Note the moons in the background.. Possible weapons testing?
Unknown Fighter Craft patrol through a city on the third planet in the system. Note exhaust ports show signs of micro cold fusion engines.
Military Compound located on one of the planets moons. Note the troop landers in low orbit and the defence silos at the bottom of the pic.
Military Shipyard in high Orbit over a desert Planet.
As you can see, much contraversial/banned robot technology is used by the humans in the system. I wonder if this isnt some long lost Pre-dark age Terran colony that didnt suffer the same fall that we did. If so the Imperium could leap forward in technology by leaps and bounds if contact was made and some sort of alliance struck with the humans in this system.
We will continue to monitor and send information as we progress.
May the Emperor Protect.
++ END TRANSMISSION ++
