The body is finished. I still need to attach the tanks (currently reconsidering the size of those) and sculpt the feet (only when I decide on the final shape of the base). Speaking of which, should I go with a standard 40mm base with the pipe sticking out like on the earlier version, or should I do a full plinth-style base like some of those GD entries have?

Plinth Style would be my choice. Good idea with the screws adds he nasty low tech mech 40k flavour to the model.

My vote was initially gonna be "40mm is better unless this if for GD." Then I saw it's indeed for GD ...
Plinth the lad up.

And finally, no rivets on the crotch plate? For some reason I was expecting them ...

This dude is scary. Nightmare scary. Not Khorne Berzerker foaming at the mouth scary. This is much scarier. This is the type of scary that Chaos should be. Not the kind of scary that's portrayed in GW's miniature line.

Your inquisitiveness is astounding. I guess I'll have to do the rivets...
I'm not yet sold on plinth idea mainly because he's supposed to be a member of a unit. Unless I decide to enter him as a single miniature he would look strange with an OTT base. One thing I know for sure is that he's going to be crouching on a mutilated, wingless aquilla. I'll just have to get some milliput or Magic Sculpt to do that (I'm not going to waste Brown Stuff on things like that).

Oh, I must have missed that fact.
Honestly though, I think the look you've created is so distinctive that you really would be better off entering him as a single mini. Having a squad of them, even if they're not the same, only dilutes the effect.

You know a mini is hot when I don't even NOTICE the half naked daemon chick in the background.
I find that I had occaision to say that disturbing in the "is it the gaming, or the wedding ring?" kind of way.

In my opinion, go for the playable base over the display pedestal. I think it's important from the standpoint of context, to remind the viewer that it's a piece of a game and not a straight-on sculptural object (which it also certainly qualifies as, beautiful work). The real power of the piece comes from viewing it in context of the universe it comes out of and shares with the rest of us, 40k, and and resides in your vision of that shared space.
The piece needs to exist as a working object. Terrific work.

My first thought in fact
The lad looks great in all other ways though. Glad you went with the low base, wonderfuly busted up stuff for him to stand on.
Now ... post-surgery is Mr. C seeing paint? Or are his buds getting worked on first?

What medium did You sculpt this beautiful attrocity in, if I might ask (or, if I somehow didn't notice it mentioned)?...

Brown Stuff and Pro Create for the aquilla.

I'm afraid those hands are uncastable. I'd have to take some advice on this one.

I for one think the little metal booties work fine. Make him even more top heavy in fact, which is a good thing in Creepy's case.

Or not. . . I think he looks great, I like the metallic hooves, and I think your vision for the Creepy is right on. Nice work, and nice re-work. So far you have followed your own idea of what to to with him and he looks great.
Reminds me of a joke I heard-
Q: How many 40k players does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
A: 40. One to do it, and the other 39 to sit around and talk about how they could have done it better.

Since I'm laden with commissions right now I don't think I can put enough time and effort into sculpting Creeps friends. Instead I'll try and show some of the commissioned work.
Here we have some concepts for a Strigany vampire.
The customer choose the first one to be the lord and I think the second one make a nice thrall. It's a Lustrian themed army so some more conceptual work is in order.
Here's a very early stage of sculpting. Just a few hours really...
