I tried ordering Tau shield drone bits from my FLGS two weeks ago, and they didn't arrive (they were listed on the order sheet, but were not shipped). It's still before the "deadline", but if they didn't ship the first time, I don't know if they'll ship again.

I can't imagine I'm the only one being affected by this either. I really hope ~coughcough~ that GW gets bitz packs out SOON and covers all the bases.

Yeah, I ordered an old Beast of Nurgle, a Sister Hospitaller, and a mounted Elector Count about a month ago, and haven't seen any of them. (sigh)

It'd be a shame if the faceless multitudes had to resort to illegal casting of Citadel Minature bits in order to satisfy player needs.

Also, since GW abandoned them as intellectual property, would be cool if someone made a Squats movie.

If the GW branch you ordered from was out of the bits you ordered and they could not easily get them from a close sister branch then you are out of luck. I had a few bits in my mid January order that were out of stock this way (a few came later but it stated that they would be on the original shipment list). Note: by branch I mean country/part of the world not store.

The new Gun Drone pack has parts for shield drones (not sure how many, but it said shield drones, so at least two). Part 99120113017, it has 4 drones and around $10 US.

Hmm, not in the US online store yet, just the UK.

Guess I'll have to spend $20 to get three shield drones. ~Sigh~.

Well, I can only agree with the general feelings of this thread....

this is not bits ordering, this is "a new way to organize our stuff to sell it" without doing packaging and taking up shelf space.

which is interesting, because is my ~10 years of playing GW games, I have always steadily purchased bits from GW. This is all coming to an end if this is the new way of it.

Which, is sad, because modelling is such a massive part of this hobby, and is being strangled to death in its new, current form.

seriosly, when i used to make bitz orders it used to be for obscure things like INQ scale stuff, mordheim/necromunda pieces and fantasy standards and stuff, so am i not gonna be able to so that now?

if GW thinks this is ginna help the gaming community, then they really dont know or care about its support base.

I think that they're more concerned about their profitability. Bits required a lot of labor and a lot of infrastructure, I suspect.

Just wanted to say thanks for coming in here and posting w/o benefit of a nom de plume. It's good to see some representitives of GW doing their jobs well and interactinng with their customer base. Despite some of the reactions you got here, I hope you return in the future.

yeah once upon a time i extensively used the bitz service( i even got the older $45 catalogs) but the way that geedubya has redone the bitz really alienates alot of the older gamers who like to buy what they want and know that they need instead of dropping more $$$ for a pack of stuff which i probably will not need all of... i mean as a consumer i should have the choice of what i want not take what you think i should have just because they are "themed" items..... thanx alot geedubya yet another great decision............ just like releasing 5th edition before updating ALL of the older codexes...good move
