Sisters of Battle. My first and only usable army. My Jungle fighters IG are still in the box. I love the idea of best trained non-augmented warriors of the Imperium are womyn! That and the dark but heroic feel of the force.

Any line of the orkoid dogma is a good enough reason for me. It's simply why they are my favorite and always will be.

Despite my online name (I was heavily into orks for a few years in the 90's), the first and last love of 40k are Blood Angels.

First BA army was done in 1990, and want to start my 6th incarnation of them- when I get the money to buy a SM company and metal shoulder pads for them. :(

I guess its the whole melancholy/angry man with uncontrolable rage thing they have going. Much better than the emo dark angels.

Though I started out with space marines (like most I assume) The Orks have really grown on me in the last few years, ever since the release of Gorkamorka I guess, which finally gave them a real identity aside from just the random antagonists of the SM.

Fighiting for the sheer thrill is what I think keeps me coming back to them, winning is fine and all, but as long as there's a good fight who cares who wins?

That and the ability to kitbash 50% of an army with garbage I have lying around is pretty sweet too, being able to say the hell with it and just make more rivets. Rivets solve everything.

I've played many armies since I got into the hobby, but ever since 2nd edition the Tyranids have been my one true love. And with 4th edition, they finally have awesome models that do them justice.

I think what appeals most to me about the 'nids is that they are truely alien, both in their looks, fluff and ruleset. Things like synapse are unique to them, and nothing is cooler than a neverending tide of small bugs, followed by huge monstrous creatures.

Tyranids, especially Genstealers, if there were no Genstealers I wouldn't even play 40k. And I would drop my nids or Genstealer Cult if there was one.

Necrons in 40k, Tomb Kings in Fantasy. Not sure why, but the whole "Ancient Dead" theme is a favorite of mine. Funny that in 40k this gives me a boss army and in fantasy we are total scrubs.

Guard, because I like pretending I'm a guy with a football helmet shining a flashlight on aliens.

and 15 tanks done and 5 on the way, I just can't get enough.

Eldar are ok
nids and necrons, kinda cool

but spacemarines kick it.

Grey Knights. Someone has to stop the the crawling evil hordes of chaos. Besides who else can destroy 10 Bloodthirsters in a go on a little planet called Armegeddon but the best of the best.

My first and only army in the 15+ years of playing, Eldar. I've never had much of a desire to ever play another army.

Chaos Space Marines
Willing to stand up for a different ideal and overthrow a tyrant that their brother marines were unwilling to see(although to replace it with a new one.) I've always been drawn to villains because without them a story is just downright boring, a good villain can make a story gold.

I have several armies...three flavors of CSM, two of loyalist SM, I even have Nids waiting to see the table outside of BFM...but to me, it will always be the Orks. They are my WHFB army of choice as well.

Started with Blood Angels in 2nd and have stuck with em. The original reason I chose them is because they were easy to paint. Now I love the fluff.

I have Tyranids as well because I had a lot of them dropped on me for really cheap. I've built the army up into something tournament caliber.

I'm a dark angel , mainly because I love their story.

Are they damned, are they saved, can they save themselves? What are they willing to do to keep the secret? Sins of the father and all that, just makes for a very compelling story.

Difficult choice. Ultramarines were my first - and you always remember your first. I love my Tyranids. I really love my Chaos, and I've invented some great fluff for them, my Necrons are fun, my Deathwatch army is very cool, and, of course, my LatD army... but if I had to choose:

Guard.

They're my largest army, and the one I have the most fun with. I love the fluff I've written for them. They have all the tanks, and that's why I started playing 40K.

Ultramarines........My first army over 10 years ago. I tried Sisters, Necrons (pre-codex), Blood Angels, Alitoch Eldar, Orcs (3rd edition), but I come back to Ultramarines.

9/10 3rd company complete 18 "old" Rhino based tanks.

Full 4th company under construction with metal shoulder pads, and all variations of Rhino tanks via massive bits order.

1/2 9th company (mostly heavy weapons and sgts)

May build small Tyranid force and may build Tau or Orcs.

Chaos orks with Nurghal theme.
