Beerfiend: May I suggest proposing to your friend that you try that game again, with the same armies?

We most certainly will play more games of 1k like this, probably even tomorrow. And more I'm sure until I finish building the rest of my army. In the end we will both be capable of a 3k vs 3k game, but I think 2k is where it's at + my army seems like it would be strongest at 2k.

I'm just curious as to why you think we should rematch? Could I have done better maybe, or him? lol ;D

Also, pfists on raptor champs or 2xclaws? still torn between em ;\

It's not so much as thinking either of you could have done better, but how you both might have done with some more experience. I do suspect that your friend could have done better (like not having Mephiston wander around unsupported!), but your battle report doesn't give much to go on.

Played very same 1k game, this time it was a bloody blood angel massacre...

I was worried at first because he rolled for deployment, the better half of the table, and first turn. He then proceeded to get his long range into place and dispatched a few of my raptors and plague marines. But after careful zig zagging, use of cover, and strategical placement of my obliterators (split up this time) I eventually turned the tide in my favor and slaughtered him into oblivion.

I must say proper use of the obliterators is what REALLY made a difference this time. They managed to take out his tri-las predator, almost half his troops, and 2 wounds on meph! Only one of em lost a wound by the end. Obliterators REWL

Melta Raptor's vehicle exploded his razorback with guys in it! Not much damage to the passangers done, but was still sweet lol.

DP finished meph off and pretty much the rest of the troops that obliterators didnt get to. Meph had 2 chances to force wep my DP and whiffed all attacks! 6T ftw!

My plague marines played their part well yet again as a distracting shooty meat-wall of defense. Although they were eventually cut down by TWO death company.....

Nurgle's rot did nothing, feel like I'm a lot better off with warptime..But then again it was only 1k, not enough troops to rot.

Lost 2 guys to gets hot...

In the end I think I had a little over half of my points left...It was indeed a good day for chaos

Cheers
