Long time no update!

I've slightly changed my list now. I've added three battlewagons to make my orks more survivable. I've sold off the ard boyz and burnas but thats not the end of the world.

I've also acquired a stompa as well. I will get some pics up of that soon.

Sold the 'ard boyz and burnaz! They looked so good

I'd love to see some pics of your vehicles now! Did you get to wash them as well? This has got to be the best demonstration of what a wash can do for models! It looks like at first you were painting very carefully, but it couldn't bring out all the detail. Adding a wash on top and voila! These guys look awesome

I am very impressed and it's also cool to see how you learned, adapted, and ended up with a very nice, cohesive look!

So let's see some new vehicle pics

Yeah, sold them on e-bay. Sold both with a trukk each. The person who brought the boyz kept sending me messages asking how I painted them

I only have battlewagons, and, currently, I only have one, which, hasn't been painted yet.

I definately agree on the wash. Catchan green is the colour of the orks, I'm using it on my guard as well. It is a very flat colour and doesn't bring out any detail. I found with the orks at least it gives them definition.

Thanks for the compliments. I will be getting some pics up soon!

Finally a update four months later! The army was complete, key word, complete lol. I've changed the list so its more mech now so my boyz will last longer and get where they need to go. I've also beefed up the number of lootas and nobz, though I had enough nob models already. I also managed to acquire a stompa too.

Here are the lootas. I didn't paint these, I brought them recently and I need to paint them in the darker green I use for my orks. Should get them done soon, though, although I need more devlan mud wash, which I should be getting at the weekend.

This is a WIP of the stompa. Its WIP as I was using devlan mud to give it a light wash, when like a doofus, I knocked the pot over! So I managed to get as much as I could off the soaking wet paper onto my brush! So the stompa needs touching up in areas.

I've got two battlewagons out of three I need. One is already painted, it needs washing as the paint I used is gloss undercoat so is a bit shiny. The other I'm hoping to paint tonight and the last one I'm expecting next week.

I've sold this now, but I thought I'd get a pic up of my Weirdboy.

This is nice work, to me from your first shots at the start of the thread to later on, your painting actually seems to evolve along a very tight and rapid learning curve. This is a grand looking Goff warmob (other than the topknots... sorry, just a personal taste thing with those, I cut mine orks topknots off). Your latest shots are very good, ork skintone is especially polished.

As to selling your burnas off, ah well, I had a little 1Kpts battle last weekend and experimented with a full sized mob of them in a bare bones battlewagon as transport, led by the big mek with kff. They were terrifying, they killed anything they got near and putting them in the wagon to get them to the other side of the table let them do just that, they ate a tactical squad, a captain and an assault squad. At one stage I was rolling 66 'to wound' dice... Blessed is the template weapon to the army with a BS of 2...

I like your dark and "muddy" scheme. It looks good.

The top knots don't bother me really, though I do wonder how Orks get them to stop on when they don't have hair lol.

I can see with a KKF and in a BW the Burnas would be good, but once that transport is popped they're done for - Lootas for me all the one, I use the same a Mek with KFF and a battlewagon and works wonders

Cheers. I got the scheme from a local G.W shop. I added a delvan mud wash myself which makes the skin tone better with more definition.

Get a pin vice, drill your gun barrels, I've gone back and started drilling mine and they look alot better. Also, I really feel the LR isn't orkified enough yet. Personal opinion, perhaps a turret, a roller and more plates with glyphs and a got hangin on someplace....

I'll most probably do that as they do look a lot better.

Quite a few other folks have mentioned about the no so Orky Land Raider, not sure what do add and my lack of Ork parts is a issue as well lol.
