Zocchi Distributing and FASA buy Partha, then FASA buys zocci's half by promising to ship FASA and Partha product, never happens. Zocci goes under. Partha goes under having no income and all the bills. Fasa goes under.....and Wizkids emerges like some phoenix.
That last year of fasa's existence there was ALOT of weirdness going on. A new accountant was brought in (for no reason) and a rigid stranglehold was placed on resources across the board. For no apparent reason. We had to fight with accounting to get freelancers paid, etc. Even tho product was selling great we couldnt seem to get them to relax. It wasn't until the last month of the companies life, when they surprise announced they were closing and told us about the whizkid plan that we finally understood what was 'really' happening all that time. So both partha AND fasa employees got the shaft. It was a bad deal for everyone. :(

After talking with Scuzzy and getting the low down on some legal issues. We can not use any of the old artwork in any way shape or form.
The way you used we in that sentence, can we then assume that you are also involved with the Vor now?

Nope. That was just cut and pasted from the Ironwinds board. I should have mentioned it.

I just played my first game since FASA folded and I really must say that you could not be more wrong about VOR. VOR is easily the best war game with amazingly comprehensive rules but ones that are simple enough to pick up quickly. The points system used for each model is amazingly accurate. I easily outnumbers my oponent 2:1 and the game was still balanced. I'm tired of games where you have to flip through 3-4 chapters just to figure out the simplest things like moving and shooting. PLUS, the simpler the rules, the less abusive they can be!
The terrain tables are still my favorite part of VOR, so much fun!
Thanks again, SKUZZY! VOR is back!

Do we get to look forward to clix based minis with the new game?
Whos going to be first, Growlers, or Union?
|
At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money. |

I'm in total agreement. Balance is one thing nearly everyone agreed on when it came to VOR back in the day.
