Not to be a dick, but I'm surprised you made it to the finals at GD. I mean, the actual construction is superb and the painting is really good except for a few glaring places. Why is the metal on the face and gun barrel so stripey? Well, it's more stripey on the face than the barrrel. The gun barrell looks more like you were tired of drybrushing and just wanted to get it over with, so you used more paint than you should have...

Brilliant build, pretty good paintjob. The actual build is what makes it, in my opinion. That and the awsome paint scrapes on the metal bits. Those look superb.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this is really inspirational. In fact, it inspired me to make one. I can only hope it'll live up to the standards of its predecessor.

I didn't enter it into GD with any expectations. The paintjob's as good as I could make it, though the streaking effect is intended. I figured the face in particular would be one area on the warmachine that would be shot at the most, since it is pronouncedly forward and intimidating. Plus, areas like the curves of the face and barrel were fairly large sections that didn't have much to drybrush off of, so the streaks seemed like as good a way as any to get a worn look on them.

Grey: I think the thread's about done. I feel a bit bashful every time it resurfaces, though I'm proud of the model.
