Score! Excellent 4 plaguers there, dig the OSL, color scheme, gooey fluids ... Orange plasma is fun too.

I look forward to more evil FW things! FW berzerkers, naturally?

Yup... 2 sets.

One is already assembled and primed... Used 2 sets of serkers so I could get lots of leaping/ running ones.

The other is either gonna be for more of them! or maybe some Khorne raptors but they are a little off yet... Do still have about 20 old school raptor "wings" so may see how they look.

Also got 2 sets of the new axes but not sure if im going to use them yet... Will mean chopping a lot of stuff up and they're actually disappointingly small

Love the models, well done. If I may ask, what colors did you use on the Word Bearers shoulder pads and scrolls. It's making me so want to paint. Just got to break out the paints and see what has dried up.

Please post your work as you get down.

Well, you're doing a great job on them.
If you only take ONE THING away from this post, let it be that comment, as it's the most important.

That being said, I don't like the glowing eyes OR the ooze.

As for the eyes... It's not that you've exccecuted it poorly. I just don't like glowing eyes.
The ooze... I just don't like the look of it. Maybe a more pus-like look would work better. I don't know.
The purple and dark green, though... Ugh.

The armor color looks marvelous, however!

More WIPs. As usual, pics taken when 3rd wash is wet

Still to be done:

Touchups
Highlight metal
Reds needs recoating+ highlighting - look very dark atm but wanted good shading- they will be same colour as word bearer CSM
Tubing/wires
Random details

So, should get him either done, or very nearly done, by today.

Painting this much and working full time is a challenge!

Keep it up though, you're making great progress! And you're actually spurring me on to get working on my CSM again, which is an excellent thing

The scorpion looks great, I hadn't realized eevil scribbling was going on those bone armor bits. Nice!

I quite like everything you've posted so far, and it's been done so quick! Very impressive.

Out of curiosity, what do you plan to do with the bases?

@ Boss: CHeers mate... Still V motivated and ahead (slightly) of planned schedule.... + I'm a teacher so will get at least a few whole days to paint soon.

@ Hand: Thanks... As for the bases, who knows... I don't tend to plan ahead too much; hence me leaving them all to the end... Any suggestions?

Ok, the big gribbly is finally done!

I was really worried the scheme wouldn't work but I quite like the end result. Probably took about 13 hours including modelling to finish. Could spend a lot more time on him but need to move on...

I know it's not particularly "...of Khorne" but it fits into my army well.

Have also rebent, cleaned and trimmed my first 2 sets of FW doors...

Next: Time to make some Rhinos!!!

Ok, here's my current updated list. Posted as much for me as anyone else... Still motivated and added a few bits.

Nurgle Demon Prince - Done

10 Word Bearers - Done

8 FW Deathguard - Done

Brass Scorpion - Done

Deathguard Rhino (made/gribbleyfied hopefully by 20/7) - Painted by 27/7

Word Bearer Rhino (made/gribbleyfied hopefully by 20/7) - Painted by 27/7

10 FW Berserkers - Assembled (Dunno if I will get these guys done by the 2nd so old berserkers will probably have to come)

Slaanesh Prince - converting will be finished by Friday 24th - Painted by 2/8

---------------------------------------------------------------- (Need the above for tournament Aug 2/3rd - big rush on!)
Tz Prince - Assembled

World Eater Landraider

Vindicator Repaint

World Eater Rhino

Kharn

Predator

Khorne Raptors using new FW kit

2nd unit of word BEarers

I want the 2nd lot to be mainly done by September. 2 weeks holds in August though so pressure is on. WE Rhino, Khorne Raptors, Kharn not so important as porbably won't make it into the list.

As a side note, the Berserkers will be Crimson with brass trim and possibly either a bone or dark grey/black helmets. As someone suggested, this will mean the main units are:

Word bearers - Crimson/Bone
Deathguard - Bone
Berserkers - Crimson.

At the moment I am still cleaning gunk off the FW rhino door sets and about to put lots of battle damage on the first two rhinos.

I will be trying my main list out over the next few weeks so we'll see how it goes

Good luck in the Tourney's!

Could you do a summary of how you painted all the schemes at the end?
Just the names and layers etc. Would be a great reference to use.

Cheers

Mini update:

Taken a few days offf to game, and generally mess around with lists/models. Excellent time- gave me loads of new ideas.

Nearly finished making rhinos, managed to pry apar(somewhat) and old LR to use.

Played 5th and now changing my list a bit

Oh and I've repainted an old termie for test to crimson/bone colours. The old version is silver on left, new next to it. It's amazing how much base size changes the look of a model! Really happy with how he's coming along (WIP) and recycles models!

Just done another big bitz order... Making an icon barer for WBs and tinkering with a dark apostle at the moment.

C&C as always appreciated!

Forever alone

A super job all around! I dig the Word Bearers colours; do share please!

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

Mini progress update.

I havn't posted for a few days as i've been making stuff and playing with army lists since 5th came out.

I am changing what will be painted (it will all be done ultimately but need to prioritise for tournies etc)

To paint now (in order)

1) 4 Terminators + Dark Apostle in TA
2) World Eater Rhino
3) Word Bearer Rhino & Land Raider
4) New FW Berserkers & New FW Khorne Termies (depending when they come through)
5) Slaanesh Demon Prince
6) Tz Demon Prince
7) Repaint Vindicator
8) Paint Defiler
9) 2nd Squad of 10 Word Bearers
10) Khornate Chosen Unit (ouch)
11) Dread
12) Deathguard Rhino
13) Word BEarer Rhino

Damn, it looks a lot! Wifey is away on business again tonight so will hopefully get at least my 4 terminators done...

Will update with some of my new models I have made (Landraider, Rhinos, Awesome Icon Bearer) hopefully tonight. Will also get tutorials done for the glowy eyes (really easy) and the script this week hopefully. My thinking is that I can potentially get two armies out of this eventually. I really want a fully Khornate army... Don't care about the competitiveness of it- I just want labotomized marines!!!!

Ok guys and gals, next proper update. As soon as I finish this post, I will be spraying models and painting terminators to keep on schedule.

Good surprise today... About a month ago I gave my friend a broken and incomplete Be'lakor and asked him if he could come up with anything at all. I wasn't expecting much but when I went over today, I almost wet myself.

Awesome, awesome model but I need to do a paintjob to match- anyone have any suggestions of rolours? He is obv slaanesh but I dont wanna go gaudy sick stuff.

Some other pcis of stuff being painted soon:

Dark Apostle:

Rhinos:

Land Raider:

Terminator repaint:

Icon bearer:

As always, C&C appreciated (esp as to what colours to do the DP)
