We don't really disagree. I am just overreacting to the general tone of OMG you can't hide anything ever anymore that is floating through all the 5th ed threads.

Oh I know, but most terrain people have--you really can't.

Since GW didn't combine 'hey here are NEW hill and building kits that will block LOS' sales efforts with the rules, kinda mind boggling really that they didn't, but they didn't and so unless you like playing with shoeboxes...they're gonna see ya. lol

Yeah but can you imagine the screaming from the Warp (aka internet) that would have ensued had the 5e rule release coincided with a whole bunch of new LOS blocking terrain kits??

"ZOMG GW ARE THE EVIL THEY CHANGED THE RULES TO MAKE UZ BY MORE STUFFS. FU IM OFF TO PLAY WARMACHINE PP OWNZ GW 4 REAL"

Lose lose for the boys in Nottingham to be honest.

People spend a lot of time and money on the minitures but nothing on terrain.

I don't know where most of these people live but, around here calling something that comes up to your shoulders is not a "hill". They don't even call that a hill in the shire! If people are going to play with buildings that are to scale and then plop down a "hill" that comes up to a Marines naval they should be forced to play with models from the second edition box set. Of course you can't hide a tank behind the hill, the only thing that can hide are Ratlings and grots. Honestly, the 1.5" styro hills work for WFB and 6-15mm historicals, but not for 28mm. Never did, in my eyes...

lol true. We have 3" hills and quite a few buildings but few of them block LOS.

Land Raiders are tall, as are most skimmers on their bases.
