Very nice, although I don't really see the steam-punk. They just look orky to me.

Yeah, that's coming in the other units. Bog standard slugga boys are more about the color scheme. It's the details that will tie them in more with the army theme. Specifically the woodgain on the gun and axe, the brass details and the cobblestone base. Wait until I get into the vehicles and kans, though I'm torn between land vehicles and airships...

Oh, and thanks for all the compliments everyone. You make me want to paint more!

He never left the hobby, he just stopped with the 40k for a while.

At least that's the story I remember.

Nicely done. Very much like the wash used for the skin--really ties the colors together nicely.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

Sweet idea! Can't wait to see the bigger units in all their steam punkiness. ^^

Also very neat painting. My hat off to you sir, you sure know what you're doing!

Scene: Skirmish between Clan Scryer and Clan moulder. Scryer player revs up the rattling gun:
*roll* 4, *roll* 1, *roll* 6... pause, consider. Moulder player taunts, *roll* 4! Damn! *roll scatter dice*, *aim directly at scryer warlock engineer,* *hit warlock engineer 15 times.* *Surrender* Ooooh, the beauty of Skaven engineering. =)
