I like the metal grots, really. They have a lot of character. Fantasy goblins look a little wierd because of their spear holding pose. Gnoblars look okay, although the head look a little strange for grots. They also don't come with any bits, or options to make them look different, although their stock poses are a lot of fun.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

Agreed. Theyre just so crisply cast, little runty models packed full of charm.

Just me or does GW seem to be going back to the ways of 1-pose only plastics after their turnaround with the space marines of 3rd edition?

that being said, plastic is better of rearanging and reposing posed to metal which is hard to repose

Good point, but a metal model feels so much nicer in your hand, so much more nicely cast too

ohwell, plastic sprues are easier to modify - otherwise gnoblars should do the trick.

why bother, with grots on the way just wait until new year.

Besides grots are of limited value anyway. Kanon teams work and they are nice to add to miniatures but I am not in any hurry for grot mobz. Though I do admit having one would be nice.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

well that may have been true 5 years ago, but now isn't really as true. Plastic models now are very close if not as good as metal models in terms of detail. Couple that with how easy they are to work with and maintain (next to no paint chipping or breaking) and you have a recipe for less metal models and more and more plastics

Mind you I love my metal models, I have 400+ of the Tallarn Guard models, that makes a figure case feel heavy for sure

You serious? A grot army.

You know that you will spend a lot of money a lot of time and lose horribly. Your choice but just a little voice of reason to encourage you to go easy on the grots.

I love them and am tempted to get a unit, but that is all.

orlanth, the games not just for competing.
its aso ment to be fun.
i need an army i can play about with, so i figured loads of grots will have the desired effect.

180 grotz as troop.
either 9 kanz or 9 big gunz as heavy, then ill convert some grot fighta bomba's for use as deffkoptas.
just a nice relaxing project, and grotz take about 1/4 of the time to paint than a normal boy does.

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.
