Oh no! Clearly his manic bid for power will start with a non agression-pact being signed with Canada before he turns his attention to a six-week blitzkrieg in Mexico.

He will be resisted from an Island just off the continent led by an eccentric old warhorse who smokes big fat cigars who will enlist the help of allies from across the Atlantic.

Meanwhile, power will go to Obama's head before indulging in a nightmare winter campaign against Canada that will demoralise and destroy the US' best armed forces, opening the way for a massive seaborne assault on southern Florida masterminded by the Royal Navy.

Having taken away America's civilian-owned guns in his mad, ruthless grab for power, America will be overrun by European and Canadian forces who will divide the US in two and impose peace.

This will of course be followed by decades of tense standoff between the two supreme powers of the new world order.

Have you thought about the Axis of Evil pension scheme?

Power share? With Canadia?

Aye right. Cut them off from the Kraft Dinner mines, and they are finished! Finished I tell you!

Besides, they've been interbreeding with the French. They won't whether they're coming or going.

*Warning: the following is a joke. Please be sure your knickers are safely in the unknotted position.*

Quebec would surrender to the Glorious American Reich at the first gun, seeing as they put the FRENCH before the Canadian, and install a collaborationist government... which will immediately start trying to secede.

The problem with the Mexico-as-Poland-invasion idea is that (for some reason) people wanted Poland; Mexico, not so desireable. I mean, it can't even keep its own citizens IN.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake;
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

To pull off a 9/11 sized conspiracy Bush would need a level of competence superior to anything shown in any other part of his administration. Seriously, the best he could come up with was the WMD song and dance. Besides Bush didn't need 9/11 to happen to invade Iraq. He made it quite clear during the 2000 election he would go to war if he was elected. The Global War on Terror has actually gotten in his way more often than not.

After doing some research, the following people were also considered the Antichrist during their time:

Henry Kissinger
Mario Cuomo (Pat Robertson's choice)
Bill Gates
President Bill Clinton
Attila the Hun
Genghis Khan
All of the Popes (especially Boniface VIII & John XXII)
Frederick II
Napoleon
Kaiser Wilhelm II
Adolf Hitler
Mikhael Gorbachev
President Barack Obama
and
Emperor Nero, which many Biblical scholars believe was the real one

Just point out the bible is a book of fiction with some historical facts thrown in for good measure ?
That might work ?

Indeed. I love conspiracy theories me. I think it's the way there is always a single point of fact which they utterly, utterly ignore because it proves them completely wrong!

Like Princess Diana. If she *was* murdered, it would require not only the Gendarme, The Met, The Secret Service (French and British) Politicians AND the entirety of the worlds media to be complicit in the plot....

And the Theorists usual response is to point how how much smarter they are than the rest of the population blah blah blah. Loose Change is a particular fave of mine. His main point seems to be the way the building collapsed. Yes, it does look a bit like a controlled detonation. However, the Floors of the WTC were sort of suspended around a central pillar. When the upper ones collapsed, they landed on the floor below, overloading it...hence the effect. The 'blasts' as he claims them to be are just the dust, smoke and debris being moved by the compression out the nearest available exit.

Back to the original topic.

A bloke at my office favours chemical castration for most social ills. I don't know how advisable it would be in the case of in-laws.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Thats great, attacking the beliefs of an entire religion, instead of trying to steer people away from the stranger interpretations, is a great way to get people to work together and be nice to one another.

I had a similar issue with my father in law. He tried to talk my wife into convincing me not to vote for Obama. He said he was the anti-christ mentioned in Revelations.

My response to her was simple..

"If he really believes that, and believes it to be true, there is nothing I can do. If he is the one stated in the bible, me not voting will not make it untrue. If he is the one stated, there is nothing I or anyone can do to stop it."

It is. It's in the Bible.

"...and lo, the American Monkey Diddlers will usher in a new era of suffering. For they did didle the Monkey though the Lord said, "Nay," unto them, "though shalt not Diddle the monkey." It will be the monkey, though, who shalt laugh last. For though the Monkey was diddled, he shall cause a dribble in the diddlers doodle to fell him. So it is written. So it shall be."

It's in the first book of Constipations.

I have a different method:

Point and laugh.

Faith is a strange thing in that regard. It is next to impossible to convince someone away from their beliefs, since in faith systems there is some degree of "seeing through a dark glass clearly". People can believe all kinds of things, and I'm sure many examples of the extremes can be found by the people on this forum.

Either you have it or you don't, for the most part.
