My brain automatically edits the mental images so I don't start vomitting blood and bile. To be honest, a lot of these GS tits would be watermelon-sized in real life, which either insinuates humongous and disgusting hormone imbalances or fat chicks.

It's not the pecs, packages or boobs that creep me out, it's the grown man that obsessively sculpts oversized tits on his toy soldiers and then writes pages of fan fiction to justify them that does.

Fan fiction?

What are you talking about?

I haven't written any fan fiction about female jungle fighters.

Making IG Jungle Fighters with DD breasts and bikinis doesn't actually say anything resembling "gender equality" to me. It says "misogynism" in gigantic letters.

Gender equality?

Who said anything about gender equality?

We're just making models we think are cool.

Your detractors (myself included) don't feel that Big Breasted Space Marines fit with the established fluff.

Female Marines?

What are you talking about, blindidiot?

There are no female marines in this thread.

Man, that's the joy of Anime! To revel in the complete and utter wastefullness of making an unstoppable nuclear-powered combat andriod in the shape of a cute little girl, who has the ability to fall in love and wears an enormous bow in her hair.

I have detractors? Wouldn't that just be a huge waste of time? If you don't like female marines, don't click on the link.

It's not like I tricked you or something. I didn't title this thread: Manly Masculine Diorama of Masculinity, just so I could go, "Ha, I tricked you into looking at female models!"

No, you didn't trick me into it, but posting it in a Modeling and Painting forum comes with it the assumption that you're posting in order to receive compliments and critics. I came in here to provide my critique of the work as I see it.

don't feel that Big Breasted Space Marines fit with the established fluff.
Is it important to fit with the established fluff? What page is that rule on?

That's how I enjoy this hobby, by trying to find what I like and fit it into what's already available. Not a rule, but i'm going to call you out on it.

Space Marines cannot be female as established in all the writings about it
Actually, GW removed that line from the latest marine codex. In fact, it doesn't exist in any book that GW currently publishes, because it is no longer part of the fluff.

Well, knock me down with the a feather, it's no longer saying that in the current Space Marine codex. I'll concede that point for now. However, please see my previous point.

In the end, they're your pieces of plastic and your green stuff and what you do with it is your business, but do not be scared of someone saying they don't like what you're doing when you bring it to the wider world.

Believe me, I understand and sympathize with my detractors.

I get it. I really do. Women are yucky and have cooties and 40K is a place you can go and feel safe because there is nothing but men and death.

Believe it or not, I once felt the same way you guys do. But my opinion changed as I got older. Yours will as well.

Oh ho ho, a troll and a personal attack. Glorious. I like how you tried to turn this on me without answering the punch line of my previous post, which is that you're sexualising war. Women play a critical role in any war, from fighting on the front lines to breeding back at home to fuel the machine to working the factories to keep the guns firing. Having them on the front line however, boobs looking larger a normal persons torso, is not a way to show a warrior in the future of the fairer sex. They would not run into combat wearing less than male compatriots, they would not walk around wearing hot pants and figure-hugging fatigues. You are perverting the idea of women in the front lines and making it sexually charged which is what I dont like.
So please, less pratter about cooties and yuckiness and more discussion about how you're warping the anatomy of the human form for sexual reasons in a war-based setting.
You're a fine sculptor, I wouldn't mind seeing some of your work that doesn't have excessively large mammaries on them, but it seems few and far between.

I'd like to direct you to the Eldar guardian models for an example of a female in armour that doesn't reek of primary school wet dreams. They break up the monotomy of the squad, fit with the fluff without drawing undue attention to the sexual attributes of the model.

::EDIT::
Haha, snuck in under the edit. Busted.

But we've seen your other work Doctor Thunder. They all go hand in hand as examples of what we're talking about.

Saying "GW removed that line from the codex" is not only beardy to convey, but it's the same type of logic that allows other people to claim that Terminators don't wear Terminator Armor due to the codex not outright saying they do word for word.

If there's ever a time for you to not be self-righteous about the things you do, now would be that time. Saying "I understand your point, you're all immature and I was like that too, you'll grow up someday" is flamebait at BEST and childish, passive-aggressive insulting otherwise. There's honestly no way anybody could look through the posts in this thread and say, "Hrm, he's presenting his portion of the argument in a mature and reasonable fashion by calling his detractors homosexuals and unenlightened."

This is a wake-up call alerting you to the premise that if you walk into a store and place your titmarines on the table, your opponent's opinion of you will plummet. Yes, some will play with you, still. A good deal of them won't even say anything, frankly, because nobody is ever taught in etiquette class how to deal with every specific type of weirdo they may or may not encounter. Don't give me a "well I've been playing for X years and that's never happened," because I and everybody who's reading this right now will know you're lying. Heck, if these people are calling you out in this thread, right now, there are people who said "WHAT THE JESUS" after you presented your minis. In fact, I can name at least 2 huge communities from which you'd be ostracized if you ever revealed this sort of thing.

Close this thread, cry to a moderator, do whatever you want. You can even feel free to flame me and ignore these words, but I know you needed to hear them-- and I don't know who else would have said them to you.

Acually, no, this proves that you are not capable of acknowledging women as anything other then sexual objects. You are the immature one by believing that anyone would go into combat wearing the clothing that you believe is sexy. No, they would acually wear proper combat fatigues or uniforms. I dont know, try looking at a picture of a US/British/German Soldier.
Are they wearing hot pants? -NO
Are they wearing Daisy Dukes-NO?
Do they have extremely visable F cup breasts?-NO

This is proof that you have a creepy sexual fascination with futuristic combat. That disturbs me on a fundamental level.

This argument is slowed and it's rather laughable you that you all insist on perpetrating it.

Yes doc' thunder's models may not be proportionate. Yes he may be contradicting fluff for less than morally pure reasons. I don't give a damn.

Also note that people wouldn't be bringing this up if it wasn't for the fact that every army that Doc Thunder makes is FEMALE GUARDSMEN, FEMALE MARINES, FEMALE DREADNOUGHTS etc.

Having one disproportionate army that you've spent hundreds of pounds on to make your creepy exaggerations of women into toy soldiers is a little wierd, but could be considered ironic. When it gets to the point that you're making female walking robots and spend thousands of pounds on dozens of "female" armies - it's crossed well over the line and it's well into creepy territory.
