Well, if you want subpar armies to play just for fun and talk about it with your friends then use alot of all the bad options in this book. Because, just face it.. most of the choices are bad compared to the others.

But if you play to win, and your friends do the same you are pretty much limited to Prince, Obliterator and one of the cult troops. It isnt to much work to see what kind of CSM armies make the higher placings in tournaments, its all over the internet.

I really want to know why you are saying that Princes, Obliterators and cultroops are the ONLY thing working for csm? Seriously, tell me why you think that everything except POD is worthless. Is it because people are bawing over it on the interbutts?

But why don't you go ahead and show me those said lists as I can't find any. In sweden all the bigger tournaments play with composition rules and you cannot bring this type of list there. I think they went so far to forbid the Lash on lincon 08. I don't know how it is in other countries but by saying IT IS THE TRNAMENT WINNAR!!! is perhaps stretching it a bit far.

I think the new Chaos book makes more sense alongside the new Space Marine book. Chaos have their share of goodies now.

I will have to disagree with you. I will admit that the old chaos codex was overly ripe with cheeeeeeese, but the new one is more akin to dehydrated powdered water. Where as the old space marine codex was gerneally good on options but lacked punch and was overcosted, the new one is cheap and filled with as many options as one could ever want. All I want is parity. Why the swing, cant both codex have power?

Does it make me some kind of douche for running a pure death guard army all of a sudden? It makes me feel like a better player if Dakka thinks this .

I run in normal games either a renegade guard list (renegades of vraks) or a death guard list (DP or teminator lord, loads of 7 man PMs with only a squad or two of mounted(possession) PMs, dreadnought and a possessed vindicator).

The death guard list plays as a very attrition based hard to kill but with a max range of 24 inches with any gun makes it a fun plodding list.
