All of the chosen champions of the Chaos Gods are pretty pathetic, when you get down to it.

They certainly don't compare to any much younger space marines that weren't chosen by a god, that's for sure.

I would say typhus is the best of the champions rule-wise but were discussing the fluff here.

Also, I thought we were discussing how the rules represented the fluff? Cassius being T6 isn't fluff, it's his statline, but it implies that he's tougher than Typhus, who is supposed to be the host of the destroyer hive (or something epic-sounding like that).

Also, Cassius hasn't killed billions simply by visiting their planets, or caused a Zombie plague.

You forget that in the 40k universe is similar to Dragonball Z. Therefore characters can pump up their stats simply by getting pissed off, and Grimaldus can even come back from the dead.

If Typhus wanted, he could get eaten by a Fex and crawl back out like Cassius and get +1 T, but Fexes hate his not so fresh taste and tend to spit him out before he gets half way.

man those shows were great lol. so over exaggerated. but uh yea, i agree they are fluff wise kindda saying that typhus is at best second class to a chaplain. i mean if this were like D&D type stuff, the champions of chaos would be epic level like. cassius would just be high teens lvl. IMO

But there are a ton of other characters with bionics who don't have high toughness.

Well there's your answer there. Cassius is MOSTLY bionics. Huron is only HALF.

If he could just get over the 51% mark he'd be T6 too!

The dreaded cassius isn't a dread because the blue boys run out of dreads.

And huron can't get ad mech bionics with t6. He has to rely on dark ad mech bionics which are t4.

maybe there is no t6 human but a lot of t6 nids. Cassius = half-nid ?

GW love Space Marines more than other factions. That's why.
They're like fanboys of their own creations.
Cassius being T6 FNP is disgusting. But it's no worse than Clalgar being Abbadon esque, Chief Librarian dude being better at psychic stuff than Arhiman and Space Marines characters generally pwn0ring chaos ones left right and centre.

He is, in effect, the Ultramarines pet Borg, right down to the Resistance Is Futile mentality.
