It makes me do a sex-wee!

*ahem*

Amazing army, given the monochrome subject matter, you've breathed life into these miniatures.

Those are really well done. The free hand is just as good as on the GW site. The warwalkers windows are really sick.

I think you need to put up a "How to" article on the process of your painting. So for sill people who are new to Eldar (Me) have a clue on how to decently paint them. ^^

Thank you all for the kind comments, they are greatly appreciated as always. Well it's been a while since I've posted on here but at least I have some new units to show. First up are my Striking Scorpions which were originally painted in the normal green scheme but... with a string of poor showings in games (mainly do to disastrous outflanking rolls) I had a crazy idea of repainting them in the Ulthwe craftworld scheme. Not only do they look like they belong in my army now but their luck has also turned for the better, with them destroying 2x 6man Plague Marine squads and nearly a third one in their last game (wierd innit? )

Maugen Ra - Harvester of Souls

Also managed to paint two more Wave Serpents and a Nightspinner

Finally a group photo of the assembled warhost to date;

In the pipeline are Karandras, 10 Warp Spiders, 10 Swooping Hawks, 5 more Jetbikes, 2 Firestorms and some more Wraithguard.
As for the red tinted windows which some of you had asked about, I simply done a couple of red ink layers to the inside of the canopy. Please note that the Citadel washes don't turn out as good, they're too grainy (I've tried). Finally I've given them a thin layer of gloss varnish to the exterior of the canopy. Hope that helps.

Regards,
Ebsolom Dhaark

I really like this army, I am getting back into 40k and want to do an Ulthwe army, you have done a very good job with this, I love the detail work on the wave serpents and the bone color of the wraithlord. Is there any chance of you giving a tutorial on the bone color and how you did the free hand on the wave serpents? please?

Damn, those are good looking. My aim is to bring the designs on my tanks up to your standard. Love the scorpions, too. A red/black colour scheme actually suits the aspect name far better than green!

This is one of the best Eldar armies I've ever seen.

When my own Alaitoc army is eventually finished (I'm aiming for around 2030 at the current rate I paint) I hope it's half as good looking as this.

I'm looking forward to seeing more.
