no one has mentioned Mutants out of the old RT book. I actually built a mutant army, you had a org. chart and you had to roll for mutations a real conversion army if there ever was one. And of course I cant forget my space marine LT. (minor hero) equpied with a displacer field, a rocket launcher, a jump pack and a power sword (not a power weapon because swords let you force your opp. to re-roll a hit in CC)

Dangit! All this thread makes me wanna do is see all these old models everyone is talking about. As I was not around for the really old stuff I Just gotta nod, and agree.
Though one thing I found annoying was you cant take an emperors champion with anyone was a black templars army. I remember when you could. Not sure which edition, but man it sucked when they changed that :p

They have picks of most of the old minis. You'll need to poke around a bit, it's not a complete collection, and it's not organized around mini types, so much as manufacturer and production line.
