I tend to go with Nurglitch's approach, lets work with the original list.
There are 4 ways to route snipers, lash, flamers, assault, and of course massive amounts of fire power. If we aren't doing lash, then we should do flamers and assault. Last resort is overload on basic guns (takes too much energy).
HQ - I suggest dropping the terminator armor, this prevents him from getting in a rhino. Now its clear that he needs mobility, I don't want to totally change your list so we'll keep him mostly the same as he was. Warptime is good enough if you want him to get into the thick of it, after cutting out a lot of extra stuff, you can probably keep the MoT, and winds of chaos is fun.
Elite - A dreadnought is usually a liability. A missle launcher shooting frag rounds mitigates this a lot, so good call there. I can see taking extra armor on this guy though. The way I redid this list, you are fine with him nice n close to your rhinos and vindicators, just don't expose back armor if he frenzies.
Troops - Protection, Mobility and Flexibility. You should take a flamer in every squad, or pretty close to it, especially if you have enough rhino's for all squads. And with points left over, lets have havoc missle launchers all around!
Heavy - Probably strip down the vindicators, extra armor isn’t too critical on these guys, a combi-flamer means you aren’t firing your cannons, that’s never a good thing to plan for.
The revised list in my eyes looks a bit like this. There are still a few points left over 20-30, possibly add wings (not jumppack) on the sorc, extra armor, combi-flamers, another tzeentch space marine.
HQ

I wouldnt take havoc launchers on the rhino, and wouldnt a double flamer, double melta, then flamer and melta squad work better> apart from that looks good, maybe switch dread out for some terminators as a sucuide squad, with 3x combi- melta's and powerfists to do some damage to tanks, but its all up to you. Were just giving advice and you dont have to take it.

XAV: From play experience so far, having a single flamer just about everywhere you have a model means that one time that you wish you had a flamer somewhere, you have one. The rest of the time you are better off with a melta, and sometimes you want 2 melta's to make sure you get the job done (aka the combi-melta).
Dreadnought vs Termies... We don't know if the original poster has terminators. He might really love his dread, that was never established. Competatively speaking I think 5 termies with toys is better. Havoc launchers are good if you are facing hordes, 5th edition encourages horde armies, so.... there's a good chance that the havocs will bail you out if you are facing orks or nids.

not sure but sazzlefrats i think you got your maths wrong because a vindi costs 125pts not 120pts and multiply them by three and its 375pts not 360
on another note i would consider replacing one of the meltas with a lascannon so the army comes to the grand total of 1501pts

Maths eh? Oh, vindicators are 125. Sure, I was going of the top of head on the whole thing anyhow. Why the lascannon? 3 vindicators aren't enough long range tank busting at 1500pts? lol. Oh interesting, I don't have any long range weapon experience with my chaos army since 5th came out, other thant the rare havoc missle launcher squad once in a while. Personally I hate 6 man 4 missle launcher squads, seems like they get so confident in the quantity of fire they forget they are BS4... your mileage may vary.
