hmm. this Incursion game looks like a table top version of Return to Castle Wolfenstien. Which, though extremely outdated, was still an awesome game. I highly recommend it.

Hey guys-

Incursion will be our sophomore effort, a 28mm board game in the general Aliens/Space Hulk/Tannhauser vein set in the same game world as Secrets of the Third Reich, a 28mm alt-WW2 platoon-level game we released last year with West Wind Productions UK. The game itself will be released later in the year, but we're releasing the minis ahead of the game itself. If you like the Incursion stuff, I'm sure there's other models in the Secrets range that may catch your fancy, too. The best way to get a gander at them is to head over to:

www.incursiongame.com

For Secrets stuff, as well as sneak peeks of Incursion greens, etc., check out:

The technology for power armor, and he is armed with a nail in a stick? That is awful, not interested, it makes less sense than the soviet brain chimps from the other game I saw.

It is already hard enough explaining why guys with bolters need powerswords but at least there is a thin story there...

A nail and a stick...

I rescind my previous comment after having seen the 'regular' power armor who are NOT armed with bats. They are fantastic.

Thanks for coming late to the game!

But thanks for coming - and honestly, I hope people buy the miniatures in droves, for whatever game system or to just store in their pockets in an attempt to charm the opposite sex.

The more that are sold, the better off Grindhouse and Incursion/Secrets will end up being...

Hahahahaha

so you guys caught the bug, too?

Ok, so seriously, which games distributor carries this game? My LGS is seriously getting its hindquarters whipped by me over this product. I want it and I don't want to go to West Winds main site over the price. Not only do I want to keep my people here in buisness, I want to show the power armored zombie stompin', werewolfhuntin, shoot it out in the caves.

I want the rulebook and a couple of the core sets to tide me over till the good stuff rolls in with Incursion. Who in the States is carrying the game system?

GRIND HOUSE games is doing the US distribution (Or at least, sales) itself.

You can buy all of the INCURSION stuff there at:

http://www.incursiongame.com/

I've been bugging The Warstore to see if they'd carry SECRETS and INCURSION, but no luck yet.

It would be nice if you could get this delivered to your FLGS via a US distributor, but I don't know of any yet...

Though...

FRPGAMES carries the SECRETS stuff stateside, so maybe there is a US distributor?

Hey guys-

We are doing everything we can to get more distribution channels. Unfortunately, larger online retailers often present small companies like us with terms that are ... difficult to swallow.

That said, Warpath Games just placed a substantial order with us, but our own webstore remains the best channel to get our goodies from.

Does anyone know if Incursion will be a game set, a la spacehulk - meaning it will have zombies, the power armor, and characters included in one box?

Or will I need to buy the figs seperately (now or later), and then be able to just pick up the game rules, tiles, whatever?

You'll need to buy the figures separately.

I *think* the game board will come with cardboard cutouts but really, that's not nearly as much fun!

I really dig those. I am very tempted to grab the German starter for some LatD zombies and... well chicks in thigh high boots and gasmasks wielding SMGs don't really need a purpose tacked on. They are their own end.

I had zero interest in the whole 'weird war' thing then someone talked me into playing Tannhauser. I enjoy that game a lot but the board design restricts re-playability a tad. When I saw Incursion my first thought was also 'Space Hulk!' Space Hulk is one of my all time favorite games and that along with the Wolfenstein 3D feel I was hooked.

I am extremely impressed with the miniatures but I also have to agree the pistol and baseball bat are just ridiculous. But I'll happily swap in a Piledriver Fist and call it good! (from the Grunt II or even the claw/scissors from Grunt I) The axe on the Sarge is also silly but at least he also has a machine gun. Why would you carry an axe or a bat over a powered claw/fist?!

Does anyone know if the Berlin or Bust 28mm minis are the same size as the Incursion/SotTR stuff? I like them better as regular grunts than the 'Armored Infantry'.

They are, and they say that the swappable head system works well with each of the sets.

I want to order a few sets, but unless we can get some distribution, our money waits. Hopefully the distribution S.N.F.U. gets unfugged by the time Incursion becomes available.

I support my LGS, and when they get it in, I'm getting in with both feet. I have a preorder, when they can locate the proper support system for thier distributors.

WHO do I have to get in contact with about getting a playtest batch or slot? This Grindhouse thing, is that a company, or a warehouse?

I have a serious group that is no nonsense WW2 buffs. This has drawn more interest then brains to a horde of zombies.

The suits and zombies are practicly selling the set, itself.

I fully intend on using these models for the game they're being developed for ^_^.

Watching it very closely through its development stages. The minis are on point. Now for the board and gameplay to come and get in step with what they've started ^_-.

BTW, a new piece of concept art is out for the game as well

Grindhouse Games, LLC is a new development house located in San Antonio, Texas. We work with West Wind Productions UK as well as several outside artists and sculptors show on the Incursion website. We are very easy to get hold of (I'm right here in a number of different ways, the easiest being email:

sales@grindhousegames.com

or myself directly at:

john@grindhousegames.com

As for playtesting slots, etc., we tend to make alot of beta material available to those who visit our Secrets of the 3rd Reich public forums, and draw our beta testers from there via invitation:

Well it does not seem that the Berlin or Bust figures are compatible at all. I just got some and they are actually listed as 25mm on the package. I only have the Zombie figs on the Incursion side for comparison but they are almost a full head taller than the BorB figs. GW Cadian troops are also a full head taller. The BorB figs look like little kids next to the Zombies.

Does anyone know if the Berlin or Bust figs are the same size as the Incursion/SoTR infantry figs? I think they are two different scales (25mm vs 28mm).

Also does anyone know a U.S.-based online retailer of the West Wind minis?

Game Kastle down in San Jose carries West Wind minis. Check 'em out if you can make it down to the South Bay.
