I wrote about resolutions in my personal article. Besides taking over the entire Internet I want to improve my dakka code.

Actually start painting again, it's been months!

I need to paint up a bunch of POM stuff (2 units, 5 jacks, several solos and three more casters) as well as a few choice Cryx units. I'd like to start on my Skorne stuff too.

Of course, I've got a bunch of IG to paint: 10 jetbike roughrider conversions, my last line squad, a bunch of heavy weapons, 2 special weapons squads, 15 veterans, oh and the vehicles: 2 hellhounds, a demolisher, 2 basilisks and a griffon. And 10 sentinels. And my DH inquisitor + retinue. Yikes, that's just what I've got assembled...

Nids, lessee: 44 more gaunts, 20 stealers, Flyrant, 3 Fexes, 10 ripper bases.

Deathguard (sorry: Chaos Space Marines) is not so bad: 8 terminators, 3 Oblits, a Predator and 2 Rhinos. And one more squad of PMs. Maybe a few alternate HQs for variety (Abaddon, Sorceror of Tzeentch on disk).

Demons: 18 Daemonettes, 6 Daemonettes on Steeds, box of Bloodletters, box of Horrors.

That's going to take years! :(

Oh yeah, and stop buying miniatures, new RPGs that I'll never play, and new board games.

1. Start to follow the Buy-assemble-paint-repeat plan
Last year I was following the buy-buy-assemble-buy-assemble-paint plan which has left me with boxes of units that are either half finished, half painted or not even opened. This has to change this year

2. Game more
I got less than one game a month in last year. I want at least double that this year. A tourney wouldn't hurt either.

3. Improve my painting skills
This will come easier if I follow Number 1. The more I paint, the better (hopefully) I'll become.

4. Find the balance between a gaming-optimised and fluff-optimised list
I see some thought, a little planning and lots of screwed up paper in a wire basket when I imagine this one. Hopefully though, in the end I'll have a force capable of holding its own whilst being more than just another bog-standard IG army.

Here we go...

1. Paint more. I painted pretty much nothing in 2008, save for some one-off models for the LGS display case, and some minor basecoating on some of my own army figures. I have alot of unpainted Warmachine and Hordes that I need to get around to, not to mention TONS of unpainted 40k and WHFB models.

2. Game more. Like above, I did very little gaming in 2008, mainly due to my work schedule. I want to change that for 2009, and game more, atleast once a week.

3. Buy more Russes. Because 20 is not enough.

4. Buy a reaver titan. Setting aside $100 a month, and I can buy it in 8 months - seems do-able.

5. Sell some stuff. I have alot of figures I'm probably never going to use that I want to get rid of. I also want to paint some stuff, and then sell them (hopefully at a profit)

6. Finish my own home-brewed miniature rules. I have the groundwork laid down, but the game still needs a lot of work and playtesting. I hope to do that in 2009, and possibly consider publishing it online by 2010.

1.Finish eldar army. then stop buying games workshop for a while. (I'll still play and paint what I have)

1: finish painting my SoB army.

2: resist the temptation to start any new armies.

3: Repeat #2

4: Repeat #2 again.

5: get a few more things (mostly rhinos) to "finish" my Sisters army.

6: Repeat #2 again for good measure

Paint. Paint more. I have far too much unpainted stuff.

Honestly though, as trite as it sounds. Within the year I want a complete, 5e, new codex legal Ork army, fully converted and painted to the full extent of my skill.
