Ive added in what you missed out.

I dont really get your point? Shooty ork armies are scary. SAG, lootas, gretchin gunz.. whats not scary? Or is it that shooty orks are scary and its such an obvious point its not worth making? Unless ofcourse your new to 40k then its always worth noting.

Or thier just rubbish & im not seeing the bad mojo?

The term death strike is a cross between alpha strike and death star. I suppose you have to familiar with the 40k tactical jargon used frequently here.

Let's get the thread back on track. I am quite serious about this style of play and it follows along with the theme how Space Marines can be played in Epic. I am curious if this style could carry over to 40k since 5e is closer to Epic than the previous editions. In particular assaults are very fast and brutal now and typically end after the first turn. To pull this style off you would need to have some fantastic assault mixed in with some serious shooting. Maybe it's next to impossible to table an opponent in the first turn baring some extremely fantastic luck but I think it is possible to acheive by the end of the second game turn.

Thoughts?

In all fairness this is a joke topic. And if its not then I think we're all going to be highly amused when the inevitable death strike tactica article goes up.

This whole thing is pretty ridiculous.

Do you remember that time that thing happened?
This is a bad thread and you should all feel bad

Your original post kinda, well, does make me want to punch you, though.

Except that isn't true at all.

An alpha strike goes back to battletech, and a death star is a "fortified" formation within a strategy game - which your "tactic" isn't at all.

Sound like unsupported, eclectic/elitist jargon to me.

You're a very bad troll, phrasing nonsense without vitriol doesn't make one a sophisticated provoker.
